Know so much about buses

  Hi,
  
  Just curious, how do you people get to know so much about Singapore Buses. Do you work for the transport companies?

  we are a group of bus enthusiasts.
  
  buses is our hobby. hee
  
  by the way one cd use yahoo to search the topics in this forum...cool huh?

  Previously my knowledge of sg buses is not so much(Except some svs)until i join this forum where mostly the guys here are all kind to provided me about buses infos.The guys here i honestly tell you are "Super"!They Knows about buses from A to Z man!My hat-offs to them especially to the Moderators,Superbus,Yusry,Thebusguide,SBS9818,Th1988,Windy,Tranquilice and to some that i forgot to remember their names!I salutes them although most of them are younger than me.

  My dad used to bring me all over Singapore on public buses when I'm young, since then, interested in buses.

  Same here.. I remembered my parents used to bring me sit bus 56 57 97 139 145 197 198 last time. 13 used to past by my old place at Bishan Rd using those Japanese Hino Buses (rego <30)
  
  Not forgetting 57 using the Volvo buses which i dont know the model of. (It was scrapped when 57 was withdrawn i think).
  
  56 using LO2x, Mk3s and DM MBs.
  
  410 using NAC DM MBs aka SBS 3877T and SBS 3916T. I remembered these regos then too. Gradually it moved to WA MBs i think.
  
  197 using LO2x - always sit on an LO2x whenever i took 197.
  
  97 had LO3x and VO2x then also.
  
  139 had LO3x and LO2x before the Jln Rajah route.
  
  It seems like SBST has messed up the bus fleet upside down into what we see on the buses today.

  97 never had VO 2x. It used LO 2x and 0305
  
  139 had Atleanteans as well.

  First and foremost didnt realise there would be bus enthusiasts in Sg, till I come to this forum. Thought only got military nuts, i.e, aircrafts, tanks......
  
  Then, reading your experience and knowledge here, i was like

  For me, one of my most vivid memories is taking my dad's B57 when i was young, as well as visiting my grandpa from Toa Payoh during CNY in the past by taking svc 139 Atlanteans!!!
  
  Actually, this hobby does help to improve ur observation skills....and also, wunt make ur commute so boring...lol
  
  BTW, does anyone still recall like me, that the first buses that went on svc 804 after the UDs were a whole fleet of ELBO scania NAC? I still remember them very well.....esp the front seats with the low windows tt i always like to seat when it was put on svc 804.
