The 1st air-con SBS service was 168, which plied from Ang Mo Kio to Orchard Road.Originally posted by Doenitz:Is it the now defunct no 3?
Yes, it is fully air-conditioned and air-con fare structure (as at 1985) are as follows:Originally posted by off_service:Is the old service 168 a fully aircon service? If it's not, which is the first fully aircon service?
168 started as a non-aircon service. It was subsequently converted into SBS's first regular aircon service and in this case, it happened to be fully-aircon.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I remember taking 168 on O305 so 168 cannot be a fully air con service.
Plying which route? The SBST Boon Lay - Bt Panjang version is PAC.Originally posted by PT21:I think service 187 was the first AC service. Correct me if i am wrong
So this means service 3 was the first SBST service to be FAC when introduced. What's about Tibs?Originally posted by xin1jun2:i say like this:
svc STC18 was the first air-con bus service. later svc 5 took over the air-con nissan buses in those years.
think maybe not STC but put STC just not to confuse, likely is ABS back then...or is it hock lee muhahahahha
then in 1982 143 went partilal air-con with the leyland national 2 demonstator bus. (i got tix!)
but that was only for a while.
in 1985 168 went partial air-con. (not full air-con) back in 1985 they used the 0302s and the LD alts.
in 1986 - svc 3 serving new rbidge road - bedok was FULL AIR-CONed. i think 168 followed suit.
in 1987 AIR-CON 3 was extended to jurong east.

Not too sure, but I believe were services 950, 951 or 952.Originally posted by tranquilice:So this means service 3 was the first SBST service to be FAC when introduced. What's about Tibs?
Not too sure, but I believe were services 950, 951 or 952. Service 960 was the first (and perhaps only) full Bendy fleet aircon service to be introduced.Originally posted by tranquilice:So this means service 3 was the first SBST service to be FAC when introduced. What's about Tibs?
It was NAC, Sv. 3 is the first FAC service from the start.Originally posted by off_service:Is the old service 168 a fully aircon service? If it's not, which is the first fully aircon service?
So I am correct?Originally posted by SBS9818A:It was NAC, Sv. 3 is the first FAC service from the start.

I didn't know that this service 3 had NAC buses.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Svs 3 and 168 had existed since 1980, both were NAC in the beginning.
