why must be the town center be locate in the central location? Looking at CBD of SG, it is located at the southern most end of SG... If it is realy necessary to to have the town center in the central location, why not shift the CDB zone to central location since it is not stratetgically locatedOriginally posted by tranquilice:Poor town planning. Hougang town centre already existed back in 1980s but to build an interchange in that un-developed town centre was not fleasible, so it was built in Hougang neighbourhood 2 which was more developed.

Of town centers, AMK and Woodlands have theirs right smack in the center. As for Bishan, well, it's a very small town center.Originally posted by tranquilice:Not necessary that the town centre be in the central of a town. Toa Payoh town centre is located in the south of the town.
For Woodlands, the one nearer to the checkpoint is called Woodlands Town Centre, while the one where the bus interchange and Woodlands MRT are located, is called Woodlands Regional Centre.
