It provides the fastest access for people working/studying/staying in Woodlands to the eastern and northeastern parts of Singapore. Furthermore, the bus is express most of the way, unlike TIBS 965 and 969, which basically provides Yishun residents a fast way from Sengkang and Tampines and subsequently connecting Yishun to the other parts of Woodlands (Note that the other bus from Yishun to Woodlands is 856 and it basically covers more of the Senoko Industrial Estate route).Originally posted by th1988:Why?

Indeed Sv. 161 / Sv. 168 is more popular with commuters going to Woodlands from Tampines / SK as it's a much faster link than Sv. 965 and Sv. 969, so TIBS are somewhat disadvantaged in a sense.

The post served as a guide of the best and maybe fastest route from this place to that place. let's say from woodlands to tampines, 168 would be better because it doesnt go past yishun like 969 does..
But from yishun to tampines, 969 would be better over 39 because 39 goes past pasir ris.
Get what i mean? (I dont think u guys do..

Overloading Trips... Wanna talk about Sv 72, whereby 2 stops after the terminal, a VSO or a LO 3 Axle that could not squeeze anymore passengers for the next few stages of the journey?
Also, Sv 72 would even have overloaded SDs as well! 2 SDs are not enough to cater the huge demands... -

OVERCROWDING ON SVC 265
265 can oso be very crowded sumtimes, esp in the mornings from MRT and Opp Anderson Sec in the afternoons. The freq can be as long as 30 mins and sometimes you just cant board the bus or the bus driver even drive off w/o stoppin even if u press e bell. -
Sv. 88 is another classic example.
