Definately Tibs.Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:so how did you feel which public bus company is better sbstransit or trans-island?
Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:tibs indeed introduced many good routes but one thing i hate tibs is their longer waiting times than sbstransit.not all tibs bus have longer waiting times though, but most have longer waiting times than sbstransit buses.if i were to choose,i would choose sbstransit for better waiting times and tibs for good planning of bus routes.
Hmm, SBST suck at route planning. Perhaps if they combined forces...Originally posted by tranquilice:
i mean tibs have more better planning of routes bec recently sbstransit did not do a good job in the planning of new bus routes in punggol and sengkang .also sbstransit recently did not come get with much new wellplanned routes with only a few new good ones like 161,168 and 39 .Originally posted by tranquilice:
I'm actually quite sore at TIBS for removing my beloved Sv. 989Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:i mean tibs have more better planning of routes bec recently sbstransit did not do a good job in the planning of new bus routes in punggol and sengkang .also sbstransit recently did not come get with much new wellplanned routes with only a few new good ones like 161,168 and 39 .
hopefully tibs would stop removing more routes.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I'm actually quite sore at TIBS for removing my beloved Sv. 989
Definitely more when CCL starts, which is under SMRT.. so prepare to say goodbye to sv 106, 857 and 960... I think they will definitely get chopped..Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:hopefully tibs would stop removing more routes.
So why ur username SBS9818?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Hmm, SBST suck at route planning. Perhaps if they combined forces...
I don't think 960 will go, it's one of TIBS most profitable serviceOriginally posted by off_service:Definitely more when CCL starts, which is under SMRT.. so prepare to say goodbye to sv 106, 857 and 960... I think they will definitely get chopped..
Unless SBST and TIBS merged before year 2006..
You obviously haven't been affected by SBST NE corridor changes. If you resided at HG you'd probably be baying for their blood right now.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:I don't wish to start a flame war here, but my vote definitely goes to SBST.
After living in TIBS controlled area for quite some time, i found that their feeder routes planning sux big time, esp in Yishun. Also, im quite pissed off at waiting for like 15mins in the morning and then get stuck in a very packed and stuffy bus.
On the other hand, SBST knows its limitations, unlike TIBS by taking up the huge CHC charter business. At least it knows how and when to deploy buses.......i simply luv svc 74 at 5 mins per bus! Their feeder is also very extensive, look at TPY and AMK and Bedok.
Moreover, SBST also won over my heart by introducing svc 39 last August with friendly drivers who dun bat an eyelid about overtaking 0405s on the TPE, even with a mk3.
If im living in the west and studying at NUS, i will be ultra happy at SBST!!!! They deploy LO3-Ax on svc 97 at a high freq of <5mins per bus twds Jurong East, while i have to wait like 35mins tdy for 971E tdy and try to stuff myself into the bus cos an ELBO earlier skipped the bus stop as it was full!!! They really dunno how to delpoy Bendies.Originally posted by SBS9818A:You obviously haven't been affected by SBST NE corridor changes. Service 963 is it? Actually, I dislike the frequency of 963, especially in the evenings. I always have to squeeze myself up the bus when I am boarding outside NUS. The large number of students going home at that time make things worse.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:If im living in the west and studying at NUS, i will be ultra happy at SBST!!!! Moreover, SBST has a higher % of high capacity buses as compared to TIBS.
If u are living in Yishun or Sembawang, u would be baying at TIBS blood at their inertia to improve the feeder services!!!
Yepz. Curse TIBS for destroying a money maker in their own hands.Originally posted by delonchew:Service 963 is it? Actually, I dislike the frequency of 963, especially in the evenings. Hmm....yah some TIBS drivers are very friendly.Originally posted by Bochupi:Took tibs 855 to work today and when I boarded the bus, the bus driver greeted me "good morning". I was a bit stun cause seldom see drivers greet people when they board the bus. He said that to everyone who boarded the bus. Hehe, really make a good start to my day.![]()
Dun forget when u was still young, many residents up north are very pissed off when TIBS removed and diverted quite a number of svcs due to the Woodlands extension!!! Even svc 852 almost got axed, but luckily some kind soul petitioned to TIBS in the papers to keep it.Originally posted by SBS9818A:You obviously haven't been affected by SBST NE corridor changes.
