Treat service 82 as a feeder service linking the camps at Punggol Road End.Originally posted by leeJZ:BTW as for the topic...let me contribute some more routes...
Service 51...Hougang - Eunos - City - Alexandra - Pasir Panjang - Jurong East, what a nightmare....maybe let it go from Hougang - City in a more direct route or quit the city altogether like most of the Northeast - West services
Service 82...who want to go to Punggol Rd End anyway? Might as well shorten to Punggol Temp Int
Service 93...this route is about three times longer than it can be...very longwinded...Eunos - Bartley - Braddell - MacRitchie Area - Alexandra - HarbourFront...already got Sv 28 from Eunos - Braddell with Sv 165 from MacRitchie - Alexandra...Might as well make it go the most direct Eunos - City - HarbourFront...
BTW doesnt Sv 14 duplicate Sv 10 from Bedok Rd all the way to Nicoll Highway? Maybe Sv 14 can be removed..I'm sure there are other services duplicating other parts of its route too...
No, Sv 14 does not duplicate Sv 10 all the way. Sv 14 goes by Mountbatten Road while Sv 10 goes by Tanjong Katong Road and Old Airport Road. You cannot just remove a service just because it duplicates another service partially. What about people along Bedok North Road who wants to get to Upper East Coast Road (Bedok Camp 3)?Originally posted by leeJZ:BTW as for the topic...let me contribute some more routes...

Do not just see destination points. Think about the areas they cover. I like 93 because its the fastest way from Eunos Link to Toa Payoh. Daytime it can take abt 20-25min while nighttime can just take 15min!Originally posted by leeJZ:Service 93...this route is about three times longer than it can be...very longwinded...Eunos - Bartley - Braddell - MacRitchie Area - Alexandra - HarbourFront...already got Sv 28 from Eunos - Braddell with Sv 165 from MacRitchie - Alexandra...Might as well make it go the most direct Eunos - City - HarbourFront...
Too much winding in Hougang? I don't think so.Originally posted by SBS9845X:Service 27. The route currently plies from sengkang to changi airport. Too much winding around in hougang area. And even in the old 27 route, (from tampines to changi airport), it still sux, as there is really ALOT ALOT of winding around tampines. It can take 30 minutes during peak hours to get out of TAMPINES TOWN to hit the expressways!
For me, before the opening of the CGA line, taking the MRT to Tanah Merah and then transfer to services 24 or 34 (of course, leave out Express 506) was the best way to get to Changi Airport.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:On the contrary, the original rt. 27 (Tampines - Changi Airport, around 1990) was as direct as it could be. It went via Tampines Ave 5 then entered the PIE to Changi Airport. For service 82, there are residences at Punggol 17th and 24th Ave. So a link to Punggol end is needed.Originally posted by leeJZ:BTW as for the topic...let me contribute some more routes...

Before Express 502 was amended, is taking Express 502 from Hougang to Jurong East faster than 151Originally posted by Yusry:Treat service 82 as a feeder service linking the camps at Punggol Road End.
51 is there due to historical reasons. In fact, one should not treat the route to be direct between end points. For example, you could take 51 from Eunos to Hougang, Queensway to Pasir Panjang, Chinatown to Queensway, etc. If I wanted to get from Hougang to Jurong East by bus, I would take 151 and transfer to 66 and not take 51.
Same goes with 93. And Eunosians have 30 to get to WTC.
Obviously yes.Originally posted by tranquilice:Before Express 502 was amended, is taking Express 502 from Hougang to Jurong East faster than 15166 connection?

Does service 165 ply Alexandra?
If you would trace out the route of 93 you'll realise it is not that winded at all. In fact, it doesn't make any turns between Alexandra Rd and Upp Paya Lebar Rd, go straight all the way.Originally posted by leeJZ:BTW as for the topic...let me contribute some more routes...

Yes, I know that service 165 does not ply Alexandra, but LeeJZ mentioned in the previous post that this service ply Alexandra, so I ask him to "confrim".Originally posted by delonchew:Agree with your comment on Sv 82.
As for 165, it does not ply Alexandra at all. Instead it goes from Macritchie (as pointed out) to Holland Road and then to Clementi.
Well it might not be Sv 165, but I'm sure there is a service also following Sv 93 in that part of the tripOriginally posted by tranquilice:Yes, I know that service 165 does not ply Alexandra, but LeeJZ mentioned in the previous post that this service ply Alexandra, so I ask him to "confrim".

Sv. 855 has quite a high demand, as it diverts from Sv. 93 route from HBF - Queensway.Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 855.
It is to create a link for Bt. Purmei residents to Tiong Bahru MRT / Orchard Rd, and for Queensway residents to Orchard.Originally posted by iveco:Service 123.
Who would take that bus to Bt Purmei or Tiong Bahru. The only ones who travel on this svc go to Orchard Rd.
