That's all I think as there are only 20 units at HGDEP
All tridents are from Hougang depot.Originally posted by leeJZ:Have yet to ride one, here in the east we get no special buses except the VSO...oh and the low floor bus on Sv 518 if you're rich enough...
Am I correct in saying that Tridents are based in the Northeast?
Please don't leave out our dear 998Y and 999U.Originally posted by leeJZ:Have yet to ride one, here in the east we get no special buses except the VSO...oh and the low floor bus on Sv 518 if you're rich enough...
Good for u lor.. lolz.. Where are the tridents does ZYXbus put?Originally posted by xin1jun2:one can easily spot tridents at Queensway since 64, 147 153 and 51 converge there. meaning about 11 of the 20 tridents go by there everyday.

one can spot tridents even more easily at hougang since ALL but 64 serve there.Originally posted by xin1jun2:one can easily spot tridents at Queensway since 64, 147 153 and 51 converge there. meaning about 11 of the 20 tridents go by there everyday.

That's true, but one must know the timings.Originally posted by bendy2003:one can spot tridents even more easily at hougang since ALL but 64 serve there.
Try around 1520 hrs on a Sunday afternoon. U can see about a quarter of the Trident fleet in the Hougang area.Originally posted by bendy2003:one can spot tridents even more easily at hougang since ALL but 64 serve there.
Well less tridents will be calling at that area ever since the redeployment of the tridents on 62 and 89Originally posted by xin1jun2:one can easily spot tridents at Queensway since 64, 147 153 and 51 converge there. meaning about 11 of the 20 tridents go by there everyday.

Yeah! I just took SBS9689E on 89 just now!Originally posted by service_238:Well less tridents will be calling at that area ever since the redeployment of the tridents on 62 and 89
Ya delete 147 and 153. Stupid SBST. Grr.Originally posted by service_238:Well less tridents will be calling at that area ever since the redeployment of the tridents on 62 and 89
That 'Trident' you're referring to is SBS 9810 X - the 2nd VSO after SBS 9888 Y to have EDS. This bus is built in Melbourne, Australia.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:76 gets Tridents too.
They are nice, one of the nicest DD body ever designed buit if you say ugly , the BACo Atlanteans are the ugliest DDs(ugliest buses in fact, even uglier than the Alexander DAFs)Originally posted by leeJZ:Had my Trident joyride yesterday on Sv 89, thnx SBS for sending them hereLuckily I chose to wait after they sent a MK3 in...10 min of waiting quite worth it for a Trident.
Tridents are those damn ugly ADDs with their EDS panels sticking out in the front like a nose
But like the MK4 DM3500s/Striders, although they're ugly, they're very nice on the inside, seats a little hard though.
Tridents and ugly are not synonymous. VSOs and ugly are synonymous.Originally posted by leeJZ:Had my Trident joyride yesterday on Sv 89, thnx SBS for sending them hereLuckily I chose to wait after they sent a MK3 in...10 min of waiting quite worth it for a Trident.

In my opinion, in the whole of SBST fleets, VSO seats are the most un-comfortable! The seats are very hard, high and the back-rest is more backwards. I was onboard 9800A on Wednesday for 1.5 hours and had to keep changing seats.Originally posted by leeJZ:Had my Trident joyride yesterday on Sv 89, thnx SBS for sending them hereLuckily I chose to wait after they sent a MK3 in...10 min of waiting quite worth it for a Trident.

My sentiments are totally opposite from yours!Originally posted by tranquilice:In my opinion, in the whole of SBST fleets, VSO seats are the most un-comfortable! I think the Tridents are sleeping or they were deployed as cameos on other routes to let the VOs of HGDEP have a rest.Originally posted by delonchew:I can sleep on any bus as long as it's air-conditioned.
Anyway, I believe that there wasn't any Trident deployed on 89 today. Only managed to see Mk3s and Mk4s.
