Not only that, I hate them also because they removed my favourite services such as 989, 179, 344. AND they do not give good buses to my beloved Intra-Town 307, they only give lousy CAC MB0405. Services 179 and 344 were removed due to Bt Panjang LRT. Well, it's only 20% compared to SBST which is lot more. I took it on its last day of operation (Sat, 26 July 03). I dunno if Tibs purposely increase the frequency, I waited for more than half an hour along Jln Jurong Kechil, the bus had full seating capacity plus passengers standing, to the airport.Originally posted by service_238:same here. Well, when I first moved in CCK in 1999, I thought I had a dream come true. A perfect town with SBS buses, my favourite. Yeah.... I wish 989 was still in service. It provided vital links as well as created new ones when it was introduced. It was a potentially gd service, with a future but Tibs...hiya... sian.... they suddenly decide to merge it with 185..... What a ridiculous and stupid idea... As for 179 and 344, in a way i don't blame Tibs... they probably had no choice... If the govt hadn't build the LRT system in the first place, services such as 179, 344 and 345 could still be around.....Actually,i don't quite understand the rationale behind the withdrawal of service 5.... I mean, service 5 provided some vital links too... In what way does it duplicate the LRT? I mean, it dosen't go around CCK or deep into Bt Panjang. What? They don't like the no, izzit? It's really frustrating... It was Tibs only single no sv given to them by SBS and they threw it away just like that.....

tibs also is not fair to some estates.woodlands have so many new bus services like 963,965 and 966 while some estates like sembawang still only have that few bus services .

Actually I quite miss Sv. 179 too, used to take it often. The only TIBS service in CCK at the time.
