Service 238 is DD-impossible?Originally posted by SBS9818A:True. These two should be deployed on Sv. 238!
In this case, DD should be deployed, not bendy.Originally posted by off_service:Service 18 loads are reasonably high during school release hours.
Yes because of the elderly people living in Toa Payoh. Otherwise, DDs would've been on this route a long time ago!Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 238 is DD-impossible?
There's already at least 2 crossover buses from Svc 30 during peak hours. However, for a 'school bus' like this, it's not possible for them to crossover during midday.Originally posted by tranquilice:In this case, DD should be deployed, not bendy.
Sv. 858 had O405Gs for only one day, passenger load did not warrant it, and had some manouverability problems inside the PTB.Originally posted by gynobcard:heh from what i know SBST had the intention of deploying the 2 bendys on svc 16 years ago when it plied Bukit Merah to Changi Airport coz of the height restrictions at the airport. but i think the turning area at terminal 1 is too tight so they abandoned the idea. makes sense as TIBS would have deployed bendys on 858 long ago but 858's fleet is fully made up of 0405s.
Service 16 also have height restriction under Medeka bridge. PTB1 and 2 roads are not suitable for bendy.Originally posted by gynobcard:heh from what i know SBST had the intention of deploying the 2 bendys on svc 16 years ago when it plied Bukit Merah to Changi Airport coz of the height restrictions at the airport. but i think the turning area at terminal 1 is too tight so they abandoned the idea. makes sense as TIBS would have deployed bendys on 858 long ago but 858's fleet is fully made up of 0405s.
I remember a Sv. 196 Atlantean L-type crashing into the gantry just before the bridge, SBS 6821?Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 16 also have height restriction under Medeka bridge. PTB1 and 2 roads are not suitable for bendy.
Yes, service 196, rego I can't remember.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I remember a Sv. 196 Atlantean L-type crashing into the gantry just before the bridge, SBS 6821?
Rego must ask from ZYX.Originally posted by tranquilice:Yes, service 196, rego I can't remember.
No. I think they should be deployed on sv 163 in the mornings. SBS948S is always full and packed like sardines in the morning, during the rush hour. All three (SBS997Y, SBS998A, SBS999U) shud be deployed on the 163 route in the morning to replace the morning buses. (SBS948S, SBS687U, SBS2796A) It can serve in the morning for 163 and maybe for the rest of the day in sv 238, as 238 is always full. Also, 163 and 238 are from the same interchange, so switching services is easier for them.Originally posted by SBS9818A:True. These two should be deployed on Sv. 238!
Er...why would they build bendy parking spaces in toa payoh when there is none? And a bendy berth? r u sure? play clarify my doubts, thanks.Originally posted by service_238:Just some notes...
TPY has 5 Bendy parking spaces and there's a bendy berth at gate E1. If 238 were to have bendies, SBST would need to shift the boarding berth of 238 to that gate.
The two artics belong on Sv. 163, AFAIK Sv. 163 can support double-decks.Originally posted by SBS9845X:No. I think they should be deployed on sv 163 in the mornings. There are bendy lots... just see the markings on the road carefully. These 5 are in the middle section of the parking area. There's markings on the bendy berth also. GO check it outOriginally posted by SBS9845X:Er...why would they build bendy parking spaces in toa payoh when there is none? And a bendy berth? r u sure? pls clarify my doubts, thanks.
Amend 106 to Toa Payoh Int!Originally posted by service_238:There are bendy lots... just see the markings on the road carefully. These 5 are in the middle section of the parking area. There's markings on the bendy berth also. GO check it out
That would be a good idea!Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Amend 106 to Toa Payoh Int!
I don't need the two SBS Transh*t drgons for 238, all I need is the bendies of some TIBS service(cos the SBS Transh*t drgons are somehow not well maintained)Originally posted by service_238:Yes I need it!![]()
But the problem is these 2 jerks are based in the undermaintained BNDEP.

Are the 2 artics you mentioned 998 and 999? Since when they are on service 238?Originally posted by SBS9818A:I mean the two artics belong on Sv. 238. AFAIK stands for As Far As I Know.
