The 24.310 would be too big to replace the VO2X.Originally posted by iveco:MAN 24-310/Volgren - The best replacement for LO2x (SBS7298-7447)

Isn't there the 2 axle version?Originally posted by SBS9818A:The 24.310 would be too big to replace the VO2X.
Not sure, but don't think so.Originally posted by cck_190:Isn't there the 2 axle version?
How big is the 24-310. Is it more than 4.5m tall and longer than 12m?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Not sure, but don't think so.
If any bus couldn't make it to Singapore, there's 3 possible causes:Originally posted by iveco:How big is the 24-310. Is it more than 4.5m tall and longer than 12m?
Citaros can come in to SG but have problems in Australia due to road width. As such there is the O500 series of chassii for Australia.Originally posted by off_service:If any bus couldn't make it to Singapore, there's 3 possible causes:
1. Bus companies ain't interested in that particular make / model.
2. The bus is simply too expensive.
3. The bus width exceeds the limits set by local authorities.
I believe (3) is the reason to why Citaros can't make it to SG and the reason someone mentioned the MAN 24.310 is too big.
Oh yes. Mercedes Benz Singapore is currently promoting the use of Citaros in Singapore.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Citaros can come in to SG but have problems in Australia due to road width. As such there is the O500 series of chassii for Australia.
Hong Kong uses the 24-310. There is a photo of it on the web. use the link www.gakei.com.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Citaros can come in to SG but have problems in Australia due to road width. As such there is the O500 series of chassii for Australia.
Of course I know HK uses the MAN 24.310, but there are no 2-axle versions from what I know of.Originally posted by iveco:Hong Kong uses the 24-310. There is a photo of it on the web. use the link www.gakei.com.

It'll be quite sad to see these fellas retire. Can't wait for a certain Volvo double-deck to be withdrawn.Originally posted by service_238:vroomm.....oooo....oooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOO....ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....oooooooo...*brake**chhh* (pull handbrake)
Well for me all the buses are good except for some pathetic bodyworks especially for the SBST buses(94 below).Originally posted by SBS9818A:It'll be quite sad to see these fellas retire. Can't wait for a certain Volvo double-deck to be withdrawn.
Hmm For me i find these fronts quite nice.. Mk5s also.. Mk3s front is so-so but i hate the chassis.Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Well for me all the buses are good except for some pathetic bodyworks especially for the SBST buses(94 below).
Imagine if Scania N113CRBs,Volvo MK2/3s & MB0405s fitted with Square or twin round headlights rather than the old fashioned single round headlights.
The front parts of these buses is a letdown in my opinions. To be honest these buses are practically reliable and everlast. That's the advantages sides of European chassis.
I love MK3 body and MK4 DM body also, but of course I'd never want to take a MK3 on a highway again after taking one on Sv 197 on the AYE...interior is OKOriginally posted by service_238:Hmm For me i find these fronts quite nice.. N113CRB... it is the nation's loss if the models were to be phased out fully... but just hope that MB O405s wont be "killed" in the near future.Originally posted by delonchew:You don't know him well enough.
Starts with N, middle is 3 digits, end with 3 letters. Last letter is B, fave bus of 2 (maybe more) bus fans here.
Singapore does import buses from Germany, with examples like MB O405s and the MAN 16.240 bus, from France, with example like the renault PR100.2(?) and UK, like Leyland Olympian, Dennis Dart/Lance/Trident.Originally posted by service_238:Hmm For me i find these fronts quite nice.. I think the N113CRB plays quite an important role in SBS Transit's fleet.Their number is quite big.Originally posted by freakybuses:N113CRB... it is the nation's loss if the models were to be phased out fully... but just hope that MB O405s wont be "killed" in the near future.
MB0405s Hispano is all right compared with the older SBST buses bodies.Ok,Another 6 years i feel that you'll find Habit-Hispanos are dull too.Originally posted by cck_190:I think the N113CRB plays quite an important role in SBS Transit's fleet.Their number is quite big.
I hope the tibs box 0405 would be 'killed' soon, their boring body design is kind of dull. I find it dull after new and nicer designed buses are introduced recently![]()
Perhaps the olden O405 OACs fitted with the grey with blue striped seats look newer than the current ugly red / green seats. Tibs' O405 must well go retire... some seats got quite a lot of dust.. ewwOriginally posted by cck_190:I think the N113CRB plays quite an important role in SBS Transit's fleet.Their number is quite big.
