NO! THere goes my quick link from Toa payoh to Bukit Batok! At least convert it back to 989Originally posted by cck_190:TIBS 985
If you and 9818 don't mind the long wait.Originally posted by service_238:NO! THere goes my quick link from Toa payoh to Bukit Batok! At least convert it back to 989![]()
Don't think so. It has good demand.Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:tibs 970 .
Hopefully not. TIBS 970 provides connectivity between Holland V, Sixth Ave and Commonwealth MRT. Moreover it has shorter travelling time between Commonwealth Ave and Chinatown than TIBS 61, SBST147, SBST145Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:tibs 970 .
it is a wild guess .not very possible for tibs to withdraw 970.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Hopefully not. TIBS 970 provides connectivity between Holland V, Sixth Ave and Commonwealth MRT. I think the main thing for the integration is because the former 989 route in bt batok has low demand and they want to divert the pax to use the changi airport line instead.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Hope Sv. 989 will get reinstated. It always had better loads than the current Sv. 985
You mean it's faster to take service 970 than service 147 from C'wealth Ave to Chinatown?Originally posted by iamgoondu:Hopefully not. Yes because 147 goes thru Jln Bt Merah and Queensway before reaching Chinatown while 970 goes past Alexandra Rd, Great World City and Havelock Rd before reaching there. Although the distance is more or less the same, 970 has a slightly lower demand than 147 and also 970 drives faster than 147Originally posted by tranquilice:You mean it's faster to take service 970 than service 147 from C'wealth Ave to Chinatown?
However, I think that service 147 takes a more direct route, so it should be faster. But you are not wrong to say that service 970 is fast too.Originally posted by service_238:Yes because 147 goes thru Jln Bt Merah and Queensway before reaching Chinatown while 970 goes past Alexandra Rd, Great World City and Havelock Rd before reaching there. I agreed with you. But if service 970 ply Ganges Ave instead of River Valley Rd and Great World City, it could reach Chinatown faster than using the current route.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Strange, TIBS 970 has more fare stops than SBST147. TIBS drivers definitely drive faster.
Considering TPY-Airport via 989 is so much faster than MRT.Originally posted by service_238:I think the main thing for the integration is because the former 989 route in bt batok has low demand and they want to divert the pax to use the changi airport line instead.![]()
oso much faster than the withdrawn 149... btw, some taxis oso slower than the old 989 and more expensive siaz... BRING BACK MY 989!!![/b]Originally posted by SBS9818A:Considering TPY-Airport via 989 is so much faster than MRT.
YAH!!! SO MUCH FASTER!Originally posted by SBS9818A:Considering TPY-Airport via 989 is so much faster than MRT.
15 mins is insane. 25 mins is possible (my fastest clocked)Originally posted by service_238:YAH!!! SO MUCH FASTER!![]()
15 min flat! =)
15min is from Siemens Building all the way till Airport Boulevard on a normal weekday afternoon in 2002.Originally posted by SBS9818A:15 mins is insane. 25 mins is possible (my fastest clocked)
