It plied Bukit Timah and Orchard Road, but I cannot remember how it went from Bukit Timah to Orchard Road.Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, how was 173 original route from Princess Elizabeth Ter to New Bridge Rd reduced to Bt Batok - Clementi ?
Picked from the 1985 Bus Guide.Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, how was 173 original route from Princess Elizabeth Ter to New Bridge Rd reduced to Bt Batok - Clementi ?
I see, to serve the residents there?Originally posted by Yusry:Elizabeth Drive; near the junction.
I reckon duplication and integration as the reason. For the concrete reasons refer to our brother who has the 1985 Bus GuideOriginally posted by freakybuses:btw, when were 210, 213, 218 withdrawn and what's the reason behind it?
Low demand killed them off. Can you even believe their routes?Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, when were 210, 213, 218 withdrawn and what's the reason behind it?
218 had only one bus! Same for 210.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Low demand killed them off. Can you even believe their routes?
210 Changi Village - Cranwell Rd (freq. 20-25 mins)
213 Marine Parade - Opera Estate (freq. 15 min)
218 Changi Village - Changi Hospital (freq. 17-20 min)
These services used the 9.5m Albion Vikings. The Vikings retired when the services were withdrawn in 1989.
I thought 213 was serving from Changi Village to Old Sarum Rd via Telok Paku Drug Rehabiliation Ctr in 1982? Same for 210 serving Old Sarum Rd.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Low demand killed them off. Can you even believe their routes?

Yes, the bus guides in NRL do state this. They served Telok Paku Rd and Nicoll Dr.Originally posted by freakybuses:I thought 213 was serving from Changi Village to Old Sarum Rd via Telok Paku Drug Rehabiliation Ctr in 1982? Same for 210 serving Old Sarum Rd.
That is correct. 210 and 213 have identical routes in 1980-82. The difference was that 213 will first proceed to the DRC and back. The buses went via Upp Changi Rd (this part is now known as Changi Village Rd), Netheravon Rd, Cranwell Rd, Tangmere Rd, Old Sarum Rd, Martlesham Rd, Cranwell Rd, Netheravon Rd, Cranwell Rd and Upp Changi Rd.Originally posted by freakybuses:I thought 213 was serving from Changi Village to Old Sarum Rd via Telok Paku Drug Rehabiliation Ctr in 1982? Go to Suhirman's web site at http://www.angelfire.com/in/maranello/.Originally posted by cool_elf:Regarding the old Changi village feeder services 210, 213 and 218, can anyone kindly write down the route details? I would like to know. The destination that those feeder buses serve are kinda strange though. Imagine.. a feeder bus from Changi Village to (old) Changi Hospital.... Thanx... Oh yeah, that old changi hospital rumoured to be haunted, hehe.. Anyway, anymore weird feeder buses in the past?

At the moment, it is unlikely you will have access to them as the National Reference Library will not open until sometime next year.Originally posted by ipodee:are these bus guides available in public libraries, i read that some one got it at NUS lib?
