Service 97 is best to integrate with Express 507 or extend back to Hougang Central following service 107.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Why not merge 97 with 502 to become new 97? Extend 97 to Boon Lay will solve the problem.
If I were a bus, I would prefer going to one busy interchange and a more quieter one, like Sv 10 or 65...Originally posted by service_238:And Svc 30 has the privilage of going to these 2 places.
In my opinion BNL Int can expand, just take up the field next to the current interchange!Originally posted by leeJZ:The only express service that is half useful is Sv 507. At least it goes quite a lot on express. But MRT is still cheaper and you dont have to wait as long.
Boon Lay Interchange badly needs upgrading. Very cramp and small, its like the AMK Temp Int plus another apron for fixed berths. Maybe they should make Jurong West Interchange to ease the crowd?
BTW on Boon Lay Interchange, is that place only crowded because of the JIS services? Because BNL is quite ulu and the area around it is quite empty compared to other estates...
FYI, the proposed name for Boon Lay Interchange was actually Jurong West Interchange. I think it is more appropriate as its address is 699 Jurong West Central 3 and it is at the heart of Jurong West New Town. The name Boon Lay was chosen instead to match the name given to the MRT station.Originally posted by leeJZ:Boon Lay Interchange badly needs upgrading. Yes, Boon Lay interchange/MRT should be called Jurong West interchange/MRT. Don't you feel weird that there's Jurong East but no Jurong West.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:FYI, the proposed name for Boon Lay Interchange was actually Jurong West Interchange. And why must people always say Boon Lay and Jurong ulu?

168- 27 fare stages on express sector

However, there are services 36, 190, 700, 857 and 960 which hit the city, their routes have express sectors.Originally posted by leeJZ:But you notice none of them hits the city? SBS want to earn more money on the lucrative city traffic
Then tell me where Sv. 190, Sv. 960, Sv. 36, Sv. 857 go? I didn't know Orchard Rd wasn't part of the city.Originally posted by leeJZ:But you notice none of them hits the city? SBS want to earn more money on the lucrative city traffic

Sv. 502 can be withdrawn totally and replaced by Sv. 111Originally posted by PT21:I still think Service 502 to be integrated with service 111 to make service 111 stop at Boon Lay. Withdrawl service 502.
Extend 111 to Boon Lay and that shall kill 502!!!Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 502 can be withdrawn totally and replaced by Sv. 111

Looking at the bus fleet of service 92 (mostly Dennis Dart), this shows that there's very low demand in Mount Sinai. In my opinion, it won't be possible.Originally posted by service_238:Hoew about bypassing Ghim Moh estate and exit via Henry Park Primary School?

I think they are mainly deployed during peak hours and mostly operate on service 92A.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 92 occasionally uses Mk IIs and Mk IIIs.
I saw a Mk III on Sv. 92 on two Saturdays ago.Originally posted by tranquilice:I think they are mainly deployed during peak hours and mostly operate on service 92A.
And deprive the route of Superbuses? Uh-uh, no way man. Have you any idea how narrow the streets are? Next thing you know we'll have an influx of Dennis Darts!Originally posted by service_238:Hoew about bypassing Ghim Moh estate and exit via Henry Park Primary School?
