It's not true. Even without CCL, there's STILL jams along Paya Lebar Rd. Just look... when the contractors divert the road, the number of lanes are kept the same. The only difference is maybe the traffic light timings. But it doesnt really affect THAT much mahz...
The problem with service 8 is the jams at Eunos Link, Ubi Ave 2 & Paya Lebar Rd COMBINED. not just the paya lebar rd alone...
As for Service 90, the great Airport Rd jam bet hougang ave 3 & paya lebar rd delays it.. i;m not sure abt airport rd beyong hougang ave 3 though...

For your info, I not only cover Serangoon. Also, I would cover Ang Mo Kio, Yio Chu Kang, and sometimes Hougang n Sengkang Area. That would make a total area of 5 districts. Great huh? -
Being a resident of Eunos and affected by the CCL construction, I feel that the numerous bends on the lane-for-lane replacement roads do cause a slowdown as drivers have to drive slower than usual to make sure that their cars stay in their lanes and not stray into other lanes.
