  You mean Nth Buona Vista Rd? I guess it's to provide more coverage in Holland V and to serve the pair of stops along C'wealth Ave in both directions.

  I remember I saw NAC buses on this service, so I don't think service 402 is FAC.

  A long, long time ago, there was another sv. 402 which plied between Stamford Rd (Capitol Cinema) and the Bt Timah Race Course. This was a special service which was only available during raceday on Sundays.

  If I'm not mistaken, the CSS' Turf Club services ceased operations when the Singapore Turf Club shifted to Kranji. Then SBS took over the operations by introducing several new routes, mostly from HDB heartlands to Kranji Turf Club. The services were underutilised and withdrawn shortly after. Apparently the 'kakis' at Turf Club preferred the MRT.

  Oh yes. I now remember the Race Day buses by SBS. Were the numbers in the 70x series? Anyone have the routes of these services?

  I remembered services 781, 782, 786, 787 and 788. All charging flat-fare. If I remember correctly, they were introduced in March 1999 and were withdrawn in Sep 1999.

  These services plied BV terminal- Holland Drive- North Buona Vista Road- Commonwealth Ave.... (long winded huh..).
  
  Now they are smarter BV Terminal- Holland Drive-HOlland Ave-Commonwealth Ave-North Buona Vista Rd.
  
  They can be better if they provide boarding/alighting facilities at BV terminal, then it could be: BV terminal - North Buona Vista Road....

  I guess these services were controlled by their respective depots and not a particular one. 2888T may be a BNDEP bus back then as service 781 which it was on operated from Tampines interchange.
