Please describe how they look like. Can the remains of the teminal still be seen today? If not, what had become of their former site?
Are there boarding/alighting facilities? Buses park diagonally at the divider? Does it mean the bus had to reverse to get out? Quite dangerous, eh?Originally posted by delonchew:Location is at North/South Canal Road, in front of the OCBC main building.
From what I can remember, the buses will park diagonally at the divider between North Canal Road and South Canal Road. When it was leaving the terminal, it will make a U-turn and leave via South Canal Road.
Area has been redeveloped, no more indication that a bus terminal once stood there.
Prince Edward has alighting and boarding facilities or not? When did it shift to Palmer Rd and renamed as Shenton Way?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Anyone here have recollections of these 3 terminals, located inside/at the fringe of the CBD?

I thought South Canal Ter was gone since the old svc 194 (Sth Canal - Yong Siak St) was withdrawn?Originally posted by service_238:South Canal terminal was redeveloped in 1995/1996, abt 6 months after Boat Quay MacDonald's opened.
that area was redeveloped to widen the road. There were about 6-8 lots there. When buses leave, they will reverse and proceed to the terminal bus stop opp the parking bay, towards Chinatown. as for alighting, it is done on North Canal Rd towards Boat Quay.
It was still around letting to rot after its withdrawalOriginally posted by freakybuses:I thought South Canal Ter was gone since the old svc 194 (Sth Canal - Yong Siak St) was withdrawn?
= no bus service served there... so when demolished?Originally posted by service_238:It was still around letting to rot after its withdrawal
