  Might be Intratown 307
  Introduced in 1997 by SBS as a Townlink
  
  2000, route shortened by TIBS tobecome a feeder service looping @ Yew Tee MRT
  
  Early 2001, received lots of complaints by the residents.So, route is extended to become a semi-townlink.
  
  During Election 2001, Route became what it is now, or formerly as you might say.

  Terminating at the formal upp serangoon rd terminal, then shortened to hg central int, then changed to loop at hg ave 6/10. It was then changed to loop at upp serangoon rd when the extension of upp serangoon rd to sk was near completion before it was extended to punggol int. And also, the recent route changes in punggol area.

  Once looped in HG Ave 6... perhaps that was just after 136 amended to HG Ave 8 and then to Ave 6.... that means 8 amendments in 8 years!

  service_238 is correct. Svc 136 looped at ave 6 then went into ave 10, then ave 8.....

  What about svc 83? How many times is the route amended in these 2 years? more than 136?

  Svc 83 once terminated at punggol (forgot about the other terminating point) via upp serangoon road, then hg ave 10 and then punggol road. It was then amended to ply via serangoon new town (ie the current svc 147 route) towards punggol. When svc 147 was extended to upp serangoon road terminal from potong pasir (the current route), svc 83 was withdrawn. It was then re-introduced to ply sk-punggol. I dunno the exact dates, though.

  If I did not remember wrongly the boarding berth at the old AMK Int showed "Hougang Ave 8". The bus desto too showed "Ang Mo Kio 136 Hougang Ave 8".

  Service 83 operated between Punggol Road End Terminal to New Bridge Road in it's former life.

  You are right. But I think it doesn't matter whether its hg ave 8, 6 or 10 since these 3 roads form the loop that svc 136 plied then.

  Probably merged with 15 (Marine Parade - Prince Edward). I think the route of 15 is similar to the current 196.
