Transitlink bus guides are published in the earlier beginning of the year. So, 2 years is the gap between the last transitlink bus guide produced(Early 2002) and this year's transitlink bus guide(Early 2004)Originally posted by MooKu:But I still think bus guides should be checked to ensure it is as accurate as possible...I got extremely cheesed off once when I took a wrong bus and ended up at some other interchange instead of the intended one and I was so late for my lessons.
2 years of not doing a bus guide? You mean this time it's by er uh ex-SBS-dunno-what-Transit-it's-called-now-sorry, and the past 2 years by Mighty Minds?

The online guide indicates it as PAC.Originally posted by off_service:Another puzzling thing.
All the Ang Mo Kio feeders and Townlink services are fully aircon except for service 262 which is still a PAC?
No lar, piano lessons mah.Originally posted by cck_190:Transitlink bus guides are published in the earlier beginning of the year. So, 2 years is the gap between the last transitlink bus guide produced(Early 2002) and this year's transitlink bus guide(Early 2004)
Transitlink did not publis and bus guide in 2003 due to the NEL network rationalisation.Mighty Minds produced quite a number of versions last year.
Anyway, how can you take a wrong bus to your school when you go there everyday???![]()

Their e-guides are up to date but their book guides are not. They can't possibly be producing new guides everytime a service is amended or made...Originally posted by MooKu:No lar, piano lessons mah.
I went for them from a different location that day, so I actually went to check up which buses I could take! In the end I was brought to a different location... and then I had to take a cab.
2 years ah?!Can't they like, you know, update the bus routes in a computerized-system whenever routes are changed? In that way it'll be more up-to-date no....?

No lar of course not have a new version of the bus guide whenever changes are implemented... I was hoping that at least say, Year 2004's bus guide could include changes up till e.g. November 2003... As updated as possible... you know.
That should be no cause for errors in Sv. 111, Sv. 28 and Sv. 29! They were AMENDED WELL BEFORE 31th Jan!Originally posted by service_238:Cut off date is 15th February 2004 while the book says 31st January 2004.
Note that there's no service change in the month of march. Svc 37 operating hours are as before the change.
i contacted transitlink in the past on such errors but they always say that the cut-off date was xxx months ago, but cant blame them cos such things need time to publishOriginally posted by SBS9818A:That should be no cause for errors in Sv. 111, Sv. 28 and Sv. 29! Esp. services 28 and 29 which were amended in March 2003!Originally posted by SBS9818A:That should be no cause for errors in Sv. 111, Sv. 28 and Sv. 29! They were AMENDED WELL BEFORE 31th Jan!
I'm positive 10 months is MORE than enough time to update errors.Originally posted by tranquilice:Esp. services 28 and 29 which were amended in March 2003!
If I'm not wrong that stretch of HG Ave 4 was removed when Sv. 72 was amended to ply by HG Central?Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Another error spotted by me...
pg 189 bus 72 direction 2. "Hougang Ave 4" should be printed between Blk 836 and Blk 602 instead of between Bef Nativity Ch Ctr and Naung Ct.
yup 72 bypasses that stretch of Ave 4 now to turn into hougang central. those 2 bus stops are abandoned nowOriginally posted by SBS9818A:If I'm not wrong that stretch of HG Ave 4 was removed when Sv. 72 was amended to ply by HG Central?
In Short, the text 'Hougang Ave 4' was placed wrongly.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Another error spotted by me...

Interestingly enough the pair of bus stops are of the NEW type!Originally posted by gynobcard:yup 72 bypasses that stretch of Ave 4 now to turn into hougang central. those 2 bus stops are abandoned now
Very true... but somehow, the bus no longer feels "Townlinkish" for me.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Another error, the Townlink word is missing for Sv. 222
Well, it's still a townlink service under SBST definition.Originally posted by Yusry:Very true... but somehow, the bus no longer feels "Townlinkish" for me.
