Ang Mo Kio Svcs in 1970s - 1980s

Up to 1980, no bus has served the eastern Ang Mo Kio Ave 3... but in early 1980s, only 261 & 263 serving AMK East... why is that so? And then when did svc 25 start using that stretch of AMK Ave 3?

AMK was literally a NEW town then. the development started fr the west in the mid/late 70s and extend eastward... i think ppl only start moving into the east in early 80s? no demand so no bus service...

i remembered service 25 route was more or less similar to 24 from amk int to boundary rd. anyone can verified that?

One could consider service 24 as service 25 being extended to Changi Airport and renumbered 24. -
