1. Boarding and alighting are ALLOWED at both terminals.Originally posted by leeJZ:1. Boarding is allowed at PTB 1? Because I boarded there yesterday...
2. Where do the Sv 36 buses park? They must be running quite a good utilization rate - the one I was on changed drivers and zipped off immediately back to Tomlinson Rd...
3. Is there really a SATS Flight Kitchen bus stop? Because I didnt spot it on both my trips in and out of the airport...
But don't the Sv 36 buses get a chance to cool down? Later got overheat, and its an expressway service somemore...Originally posted by SBS9818A:1. Boarding and alighting are ALLOWED at both terminals.
2. Sv. 36 buses park at T2 for about 5 mins, drivers change buses to the one behind once they arrive at PTB2.
3. SATS flight kitchen stop is the stop right after PTB2, under South Cross.
Cheers and warm regardsOriginally posted by leeJZ:1. Boarding is allowed at PTB 1? Because I boarded there yesterday...It has been that way since buses started plying Changi Airport.

3. Is there really a SATS Flight Kitchen bus stop? Because I didnt spot it on both my trips in and out of the airport...If you are travelling towards Changi Airport, notice one bus stop with an exceptionally large bus bay. That bus stop was constructed for workers at SATS In-Flight Kitchen 3.
5 minutes is more than enough. Plus with stop-start conditions in the city, I'm not suprised if the engine gets more than adequate rest.Originally posted by leeJZ:But don't the Sv 36 buses get a chance to cool down? Later got overheat, and its an expressway service somemore...

Wonder if service 36 buses can park at PTB coach park like what service 390 buses used to do?Originally posted by leeJZ:2. Where do the Sv 36 buses park? They must be running quite a good utilization rate - the one I was on changed drivers and zipped off immediately back to Tomlinson Rd...
It's the second bus stop after PTB2. The stop right after PTB2 is un-sheltered and under a aircraft flyover.Originally posted by SBS9818A:1. Boarding and alighting are ALLOWED at both terminals.

Again poor old confused me. This is what happens if you've been in hibernation for too long.Originally posted by tranquilice:It's the second bus stop after PTB2. The stop right after PTB2 is un-sheltered and under a aircraft flyover.
Formula 1 at Silverstone?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:No, i don;t think its very possible to park at the coach park. This is especially in light of the rather tight chicanes that the bus has to go through right after exiting PTB1 basement. Moreover, the coach park can be in very high demand during peak times. Also, it would be hard to co-ordinate the services there as the main control is located in the basement. It is also more than adequate for two service 36 mk4/mk5 to park comfortably at its own berth at PTB 2,
I rather pity my svc 858 drivers, many are actually forced to drive 80+ fare stages non stop due to some delay in their timetables during peak hours.....they zip in and out of each terminal before rocketing its way of PTB 2 basement , negotiate the S bend and into ECP at 4th gear ( power!!! )
Not bad, it'd be like truck racing!Originally posted by delonchew:Formula 1 at Silverstone?
Can anyone confirmed that previously services 16 and 390 had their buses parked at the coach bay?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Hehe...tt's nice for underground terminals.....Found that it is posssible to terminate at the ter1 coach bay,, make one Uturn after exiting the ramp but not much purpose.....as for ter 2 its much more complicated![]()
Sv. 390 is confirmed, not sure about Sv. 16.Originally posted by off_service:Can anyone confirmed that previously services 16 and 390 had their buses parked at the coach bay?
i dont think so... last time when 989 was around, all TIBS home turfs had links to CGA. but now, not anymore...Originally posted by SBS9845X:maybe TIBS could go and have another service at CGA?
390 yes... 16 loopedOriginally posted by off_service:Can anyone confirmed that previously services 16 and 390 had their buses parked at the coach bay?
OK then reinstate Sv. 989 and I'll be very happy. Provided faster link to airport from TPY than Sv. 506 at the time.Originally posted by service_238:i dont think so... last time when 989 was around, all TIBS home turfs had links to CGA. but now, not anymore...
