They can just as well integrate the two terminals to form Commonwealth Ter.Originally posted by iamgoondu:Buona Vista and Ghim Moh terminals are just a road (North Buona Vista ROad) apart!
And extend 195Originally posted by SBS9818A:They can just as well integrate the two terminals to form Commonwealth Ter.
but AMDEP has 2 svcs starting from there... both townlinks. 265 & 268.Originally posted by SBS9818A:AMK 1 interchange and TWO terminals? AMDEP is NOT a terminal, FYI.
There are plans to integrate the two terminals and move them to an empty plot next to BV MRT station. Not sure if the proposed air-conditioned terminal has been shelved, just like the proposed LTA HQ in Buona Vista.Originally posted by SBS9818A:They can just as well integrate the two terminals to form Commonwealth Ter.
The route you proposed was plied by service 195 before, but only temporary, when C'wealth Dr was partially closed for PUB works.Originally posted by iamgoondu:There are plans to integrate the two terminals and move them to an empty plot next to BV MRT station. I had proposed for SBST195 to be amended to Holland Ave via Commonwealth Ave, Queensway, Holland Road, Holland Ave, Commonwealth Ave...., and of course was being turned down.
Sv. 195 is a very odd route, I was thinking a feeder from Bt. Merah would do the trick of covering C'wealth Dr.Originally posted by tranquilice:The route you proposed was plied by service 195 before, but only temporary, when C'wealth Dr was partially closed for PUB works.
If service 195 was to be re-routed as proposed, which other service will cover its route along C'wealth Dr?
Not much use, I guess the residents need a link to the nearest MRT station more than to Bt Merah interchange which has no MRT station.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 195 is a very odd route, I was thinking a feeder from Bt. Merah would do the trick of covering C'wealth Dr.
How about a feeder that starts from Bt merah Interchange and passes by Commonwealth Avenue?Originally posted by tranquilice:Not much use, I guess the residents need a link to the nearest MRT station more than to Bt Merah interchange which has no MRT station.
Passes by Queenstown MRT? Should be no problem.Originally posted by Yusry:How about a feeder that starts from Bt merah Interchange and passes by Commonwealth Avenue?

Which part of C'wealth Dr? The part plied by service 61 or the part plied by service 195?Originally posted by iamgoondu:I remembered SBST147 use to detour into Commonwealth Drive (only for direction towards city) in the eighties, perhaps they can do that again, with SBST 111, 32 or 145 or even 198.
The part plied by SBST195.Originally posted by tranquilice:Which part of C'wealth Dr? The part plied by service 61 or the part plied by service 195?
The service can go by Commonwealth Ave, then turn into Alexandra Rd past IKEA and on to Bt. Merah Int.Originally posted by tranquilice:Passes by Queenstown MRT? Should be no problem.
Because BV Int was opened and not enough space, probably.Originally posted by freakybuses:Anyway, how, when and why Commonwealth Ave Ter ceased operations?
Buona Vista used to be a int???Originally posted by SBS9818A:Because BV Int was opened and not enough space, probably.
BV Ter, sorry.Originally posted by freakybuses:Buona Vista used to be a int???
I don't think right turn is available from C'wealth Dr into Queensway.Originally posted by iamgoondu:The part plied by SBST195.
... Commowealth Ave, Commonwealth Drive, (turned right into) Queensway, ...
However that's when SBST147 began at Buona Vista Terminal. It's not logical to request SBST147 to detour as it now began at Clementi.
Perhaps SBST32 or SBST145 can be detoured into Commonwealth Drive, as fewer commuters will be inconvenienced by the detour. With such detour, we can have SBST195 to be amended into Holland Ave.
Why is it impossible? Cars are able to turn right from C'wealth Dr (T-Junction os Blk 97) into Queenway.Originally posted by tranquilice:I don't think right turn is available from C'wealth Dr into Queensway.
