Hi,
I haven't been up to date about the bus models lately, and have forgotten a lot of what I have learned before...
I have been wanting to know what type of buses the SBS 27XX ones are, because I must say they are amongst my favourites.
It would seem that in the days when they're rather new (1997?), they were the quietest buses in the fleet, and perhaps still are.
Oh... and what the the newest buses SBS has now? I have seen them on the website, but haven't got the luck to actually see them in the 'flesh' (should coin a more suitable term.).

The Volvo Super Olympian and the Volvo B10BLE CNGs would be the latest buses of SBST. I think a better term to be used is "Seeing thjem upclose and personal". heehehe

Sv 21 (Pasir Ris - St Michael's / 4 units)
Sv 25 (Bedok - Ang Mo Kio / 6-7 units?)
Sv 28 (Tampines - Toa Payoh / 4-5 units)
Sv 31 (Tampines - Toa Payoh / 2-3 units)
Sv 56 (Bishan - Marina Center / ?? units)
Sv 70 (Yio Chu Kang - Shenton Way/Marina Center / ?? units)
Sv 72 (Yio Chu Kang - Tampines / 3+ units)
Sv 76 (Yio Chu Kang - Siglap Rd / ?? units)

27xx buses are Volvo B10M Mk4 DM3500. They're found in some CBS routes (refer to Fantasy Bus Routes thread)
27xx are found on services like 27 66 & 105. They're mostly based in SLBP and HGDEP if i'm not wrong.

SLBP - Soon Lee Bus Park controls Boon Lay (BNL as to what i call it) and Jurong East (JUR for this) services.
HGDEP - Hougang Depot control Eunos (EUN) and all north east interchanges (PUN SEK HGN) except Serangoon (SGN).
Volvo B10TL Super Olympian are SBST's newest buses. Rego from SBS 9801 Y - SBS 9849 K. They came into service in Feb/Mar 2003. They're currently deployed on 21 25 28 31 56 70 72 76 133 143 161 168.
Newest single deckers are the 28xx Mk5s (DM3500) Rego from SBS 2800 X - SBS 2838 M
They're deployed on 15 162 163 etc.. they're based in HGDEP and BNDEP
BNDEP - Bedok North Depot controls all eastern interchanges. -

Services like 22 25 26 72 88, although terminates in BDK/TAM/PSR, they're fully controlled by AMDEP only.
Bedok despatch is kinda split because bedok has too many services for BNDEP to control. Hence a couple of them are under HGDEP. eg 32 33. how abt 196 197?
