They shouldn't have come here.Originally posted by SBS9845X:What do u all think of the volvo B10M Mk3s?
SBST should trade with Tibs for O405s...Originally posted by Scania:They should be in either Defu or Kranji
MK2 are rugged and reliable too.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Love them or hate them, we have to live with them. There are 315 (or thereabouts) of them running around. Pick up is slow and the brakes are jerky. Interior is glum. It's not one that I highly regard. Nice to take once in a while but it lacks the special charisma. I never get exicited on a Mark 3. The Mark 4 is also quite 'blahh'. My favourite B10M will always be the Mark 2. Although worn and battered, I still get tingly when I ride them.
OK I like all my Sv. 88 buses, inclusive of those who defected to other AMDEP services like Sv. 161 and Sv. 72, SBS 2747S, 2835X, 2800X.Originally posted by service_238:all time favourite Mk4s:

one 162 3500 which i forgot the rego.. should be SBS 2802 R
i find the striders and DMs vv slow..
DM3500 is better!

Scanias are. Don't forget the extremely noisy Mk IVs, SBS 2701Z, 2702X and 2703U!Originally posted by SBS9845X:actually mk5s are the quietest of the whole SBST fleet
What I feel is that Scanias are the quietest outside, while interior wise MK4 DM3500 wins.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Scanias are. Don't forget the extremely noisy Mk IVs, SBS 2701Z, 2702X and 2703U!
Thats rite......but on the outside Mk4 DM3500 oso quite quiet....Originally posted by off_service:What I feel is that Scanias are the quietest outside, while interior wise MK4 DM3500 wins.

On the other end of the spectrum, the MB O405 are the loudest of them all. Scania 113 used to be quiet but now they are loud. DM3500 B10M Mk4 have not reared its ugly head yet. Time will tell when they will shiriek like its Mk4, Mk3 and Mk2 predecessors.Originally posted by SBS9845X:actually mk5s are the quietest of the whole SBST fleet
Frankly speaking buses will age like humans as time goes on...Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:On the other end of the spectrum, the MB O405 are the loudest of them all. I find Mk IIs louder. But I do love the sound of the engine!Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:On the other end of the spectrum, the MB O405 are the loudest of them all. And I missed the sounds of svc 269 in Leyland Atlanteans which made AMK back to the good old days in 2002.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I find Mk IIs louder. But I do love the sound of the engine!
I agree. The MB0405s on 162M that passes under my house during festive season is so loud at night that it can wake a light sleeper like me up!Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:On the other end of the spectrum, the MB O405 are the loudest of them all.
