well for those who dun know some of our DAF Sb220 are alive in scotland...a biet middle door removed. =P
the rest are rotting at CSS depot and only about 9 out on regular service.
my fav bus in 1989 then. very nice european bus.
DAF reminds me very much of scotland =P

Do not feel too sad about TIBS losing its name. Besides a name change, everything else is ay ok. This was not as drastic as the collapse of Singapore Traction Company (STC) in 1971 and sent the public transport scene into disarray. The company closed its doors due to overwhelming debt after being Singapore's largest public transport provider for over 60 years. This sad incident spurred the government to restore order for the STC employees who lost their jobs and countless commuters which depend on STC buses. In the end, it culminated in the formation of Singapore Bus Service in 1973 and marked the dawn of a new era in Singapore's public transport sector.
