It looks longer before it has a long front wheel overhang. If you compare with the WA Merc, notice that the front wheel is nearer to the front of the first side window whereas on the Scania, it's nearer to the back of the first side window.Originally posted by jetabt767400:Yeah, I guess its perception then. It should be of standard length 12M right? Then it should be correct...
My lens don't distort things, so should be ok.

Just Curious But has anyone seen SBS 72 T, SBS 42 E (and other BRAM air conditioned Scanias) ? Are they still on the roads?Originally posted by jetabt767400:Burnt Scania in BBDEP? Hmm, I saw some spare parts somewhere behind the Scania's position, erm, looking towards the rear of the depot.
I have bad feeling it might be scrapped, but might as well it go on the road tomorrow.
Or converted to non-user status like 691G, I have no idea, only opinions...
Saw SBS 42 E on 155 a few days back.Originally posted by SBS1985C:Just Curious But has anyone seen SBS 72 T, SBS 42 E (and other BRAM air conditioned Scanias) ? Are they still on the roads?

Ever since when sv 980 got NAC HinosOriginally posted by anti_NISSAN_U31:
For your info, when service 980 used to be service 160 in the past (Adm Rd West - Crawford St), there were such buses being deployed. Hinos (together with the DAFs) were then withdrawn from service 160 in October 1998 with the opening of the new Woodlands Depot. Scanias and Nissans were used instead.Originally posted by vivienlee:Ever since when sv 980 got NAC Hinos![]()

??
Only remembered tat sv 980 used the NAC Nissans in the past instead
The last batch of Hinos were phased out in end 2001 if I am not mistakenOriginally posted by ^tamago^:can somebody dig out the date of renumbering and date of retirement?![]()
The Scanias were transferred from AM to WL in late '98/early '99, IIRC. The Lances then took over. This was clearly seen in the case of NE routes.Originally posted by TIB1018B:For your info, when service 980 used to be service 160 in the past (Adm Rd West - Crawford St), there were such buses being deployed. WA DAFs. TIB692K, TIB693H, TIB700X and TIB709Y were serving on service 160 until WLDEP took over operations on service 160 from KJDEP in Oct 1998.Originally posted by iveco:The Scanias were transferred from AM to WL in late '98/early '99, IIRC. Anyway, are you referring to WA or Hispano DAFs in your post? AFAIK, the latter were transferred to SSB in 1997.
