Can you put the pic back up? Would like to see it.Originally posted by cck_190:Oh my god! I did, didn't I. Why must you notice it? Now I'm scared of my own neighbourhood!
SMRTbus West is not scary. It's the rural area that is scary. I took that picture along Choa Chu Kang North 5, a very busy area. Near the stadium. I'm too scared to view it. It's just in front of my house. Anyway, here's the pic:Originally posted by leeJZ:Can you put the pic back up? Would like to see it.
The SMRTbus west area is quite spooky if you ask me, got Hillview Mansion / Dairy Farm House / CCK Cemetery / Lim Chu Kang at its doorstep... lots of forest area surrounding it.
I deleted it and put into new album.Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Lol,Thought it is pic no 25?Not this one leh!

Yeap, can't afford a digicam. Using a low-end camera-phone.Originally posted by delonchew:He is using a camera-phone instead of a digicam.
Digital zoom is just a bull-shit thing that gives you a false sense of satisfaction when you view the photo on the LCD screen.Originally posted by Yusry:cck_190,
Please try not to use your camera's digital zoom (your camera DOES NOT have optical zoom).
What you should do instead of to snap at the highest resolution and then crop the centre of the photo out. It will be sharper that way.
should take pic of Bt Panjang int from the top of the nearest HDB flat there.... nicer....Originally posted by cck_190:A week ago, I created an album on Tibs last days. I said I will be making more albums from the Northwest. So, here it is:

Okay, no problemo. Next stop, BB and one more time...CCKOriginally posted by BlessingSatan:Dey cck,Try snapping a Hino Volgren @ CCK or BB leh!
Okay, with reference to the above, this is what cck_190 should do.Originally posted by SBS9819Y:Digital zoom is just a bull-shit thing that gives you a false sense of satisfaction when you view the photo on the LCD screen.
Even if you take at the highest resolution, then crop, the bus may not be very sharp either. The best is still to get a cam with sufficient zoom.
Unsharp mask is not really very good for making the photo look better, IMHO. I avoid using any sharpness utility as far as possible as it may make the photo look rather artificial.Originally posted by Yusry:Okay, with reference to the above, this is what cck_190 should do.
Take the picture at highest resolution without digital zoom.
Crop out the center of the bus (probably at least 1024x768 or larger)
Resize it to something manageable like 800x600.
Run unsharp mask.
Should be sufficiently sharp for a low-end camera.
You may also like to lock focus for your camera before taking the shot. This helps to make the bus much more sharper. Noticed that quite a few of you stationery shots are out of focus.Originally posted by SBS9819Y:Digital zoom is just a bull-shit thing that gives you a false sense of satisfaction when you view the photo on the LCD screen.

Perhaps this gives a better view.Originally posted by Superbus:
