To my surprise, a bus I've never seen before in Singapore. Nice and cool-looking design. The image was snapped at around 9pm behind Liang Court.
Sorry for the blurred image. Blame it on my friend..heheh. Any info on the bus is gladly appreciated.

Hmm,King Long bus with cummins engine?Dart 6 litres engine?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Hey, i saw this cute bus also yesterday along Marina Promenade in the daylight.
It looks like another Hino, but its not.....cos i saw the front badge.
Its actually a King Long bus from China. It had been in the news some time back that they are introducing the brand to Singapore, but i expected to see a full length coach first, not this......
And it has a cummins engine, which makes it a close cousin of the Dart

It is indeed very rare for Scania deployment on sv 26,Hopefully we can see a MK4 DM 3500 cameo on this sv tooOriginally posted by Superbus:SBS3697X on Service 26, which coincidentally happened on May 26th.

But never seen Hinos in the mid north like Yishun.Originally posted by cck_190:The first SMRT bus on 307. A historic day. Hinos are rare on 307, btw.
hohoho... given the amount of merz in AMDEP and the absence of rectangular destos on these 2 services, it wont be vv soon that these 2 get mk5s.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Great photo guys.
I am still waiting for mark4DM3500 to be deployed on bus 53 and 24. I still feel they deserved at least a couple each. What do you guys think?
Seeing Hinos in Yishun is just as rare as seeing a Dennis Lance in Choa Chu Kang.Originally posted by freakybuses:But never seen Hinos in the mid north like Yishun.
My pleasure. btw, really, what is the thanks for?Originally posted by carbikebus:Thanks CCK!
Yah it seems like all the AMDEP services get plenty of Merz with the exception of Sv 21, 88, 131, 161, 162, 166 & 168. In fact, the only two AM services with zero Merz are the two Woodlands buses.Originally posted by service_238:hohoho... given the amount of merz in AMDEP and the absence of rectangular destos on these 2 services, it wont be vv soon that these 2 get mk5s.
however, I'd love to see mk5s on these 2 services though...
Not very true until November last yr, when svc 852 became 100% AMDEP controlled.Originally posted by freakybuses:But never seen Hinos in the mid north like Yishun.
Well, i had noticed that Lance camoes are becoming increasingly common on svc 67 lately, in fact i had spotted TIB1011U and TIB1015J on svc 67 just last friday, as well as many isolated sightings of malaysian Lances on svc 67, so it is not that rare. In Yishun now, it is very rare to get a Hino, as none is controlled by KJOriginally posted by cck_190:Seeing Hinos in Yishun is just as rare as seeing a Dennis Lance in Choa Chu Kang.
hey... 161 and 168 have MErz!!!Originally posted by leeJZ:Yah it seems like all the AMDEP services get plenty of Merz with the exception of Sv 21, 88, 131, 161, 162, 166 & 168. In fact, the only two AM services with zero Merz are the two Woodlands buses.
btw, AMDEP has DAFs? How many?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Not very true until November last yr, when svc 852 became 100% AMDEP controlled.
Before that, svc 852 had cameos such as TIB905Y and TIB954 at least once every month.
For the photos lah cckOriginally posted by cck_190:My pleasure. btw, really, what is the thanks for?
None. DAFs and Hinos are exclusive to Kranji Depot just as Dennis Lances are exclusive to Ang Mo Kio Depot.Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, AMDEP has DAFs? How many?
Sv 852 used to be jointly controlled by AMKDEP / KJDEP, hence it had DAFs, but after full control was reverted to AMKDEP, the DAFs said bye bye.Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, AMDEP has DAFs? How many?
Am I right to say that the services from AMDEP are mostly purely from the depot alone (with exceptions of long services which require 2 depots)?Originally posted by leeJZ:Yah it seems like all the AMDEP services get plenty of Merz with the exception of Sv 21, 88, 131, 161, 162, 166 & 168.
