She drove SBS220H (BRBP 154) before, i had taken it. That crazy BC, go and demand everybody 90cent. Ask every single person who pay cash where they goind. I didnt bring card, so pay 90cent lor, my classmate also, 1 NYGH, 1 SCGS gal also pay 90cent. She really knows how to swallow money!

Too bad. Since you didnt make noise over it, you only have the option of paying 90 cents. When I took SBS9888Y, an adult lady paid ?? cents then the BC asked where she was going. Then the woman said ''.......' and the BC said ''need to pay xx cents more''. But the woman only got one $5 note but luckily the BC got change. Conclusion about the BC: she just wants to extort some more money from the passengers. I don't think she cares about any complains at all. Majoriy of the BCs who check people's EZ-link are from BRBP/AMDEP. But some are from SLBP and HGDEP as well. ARBP/BBDEP & BNDEP not so often. But AMDEP/BRBP drivers really persist on someone (especially if you are Secondary School/JC Student) on you paying adult fares. You can interpret it as she is extorting money. Another person can view it as she is doing her job. My stand on this is that if you do not insist on not paying the extra 35¢, then you deserve to pay that 90¢. Aiya, some BC are like that.
When last time I took SBS 604J, Service 147, 1331 hrs, 15 Mar 2007, at the 1st bus stop of Hill St, also like that. The BC only aims teenagers and children, another boy board the bus after a few stops also kenna, then a lady board after that, no prob.
Actually use cash, they shouldn't say anything, use cash (for SBST) is better, can earn 10¢ more, I'd wonder why they don't encourage us to use cash.
I think BCs like this is not a lot. For me, this month, only 1/17, so its not a big problem. Somemore most of the bus I took are from AMDEP and HGDEP, only 3 like that are from other DEPs. 3 of them are SMRT's BC, also no prob. -

however, manpower is needed to count the coins manually.. this waste resources and increases costs..

I do agree with you on that. I think that BC likes to target children and teenagers as they are portrayed as defenseless people who wouldn't argue for themselves. If you do not show your concession pass, full adult fares would be chargable on you for cash fares esp since you are abv 1.2m in height
In school uniform DOES NOT mean you are entitled to concession fare
Anyway, if the incident was really that ugly why didn't anyone made a report to SBS? -

Sorry, kid, the brutal truth is that they have to pay adult fares since they do not have a valid concession pass. So she didnt cheat anybody. And i think you are making an assumption that the bus driver was making an assumption that everyone was a dropout. Maybe next time, take out a phone camera/digital camera, in front of the BC, take the photo of the BC's face, the rego, time and the location, proof to the BC that teens and children are not good to "play" with.
