need help from bukit batok to hougang

what the best/fastest way to go from bukit batok to hougang st 51
(i am going to yeo chu kang primary school)
is it taking mrt to ang mo kio (via woodlands) then change to bus 159?
or just take mrt all the way to hougang station then change a feeder bus/walk?
please help , thanks!

Transfer to 151 to Hougang Ctrl
Take 101 to Hougang St 51
Total Time: 1 hr + a bit. -
Easy. Sv 985 to Jln Toa Payoh, transfer Sv 153 (to Hougang Ctrl) or Sv 105 (to Serangoon) then transfer Sv 101.

Another way:
First, take MRT from Bt Batok(Towards Jurong East)
Then, transfer to Pasir Ris train
Alight at Outram Park.
Transfer to NEL and go Hougang.
If u like Mrt, this is the way u shud go. P.S. Don't go via Woodlands, it's a much longer route...
Total jouney to Hougang ard 1hr -
Take 187 from Bukit Batok Central (outside Block 62
to Woodlands Regional Interchange.
Then change to 161 which will bring you all the way until you reach outside Yio Chu Kang Primary School. -
Board services 66, 157 or 174 along Bt Batok Central, or service 852 from Bt Batok interchange, alight along Dunearn Rd between 6th Ave and Farrer Rd, transfer to service 156 and alight along Buangkok Green opposite blk 579.Originally posted by thoreldan:what the best/fastest way to go from bukit batok to hougang st 51

Sv. 852 to NJC, Sv. 156 to HG St 51.

well u could get on 61 to holland then pong 165 to hougang. =P
ZYXbus way?
or another way is take ZYX988 to Mandai road (bus stop opp road to zoo) and then transfer 888 which goes straight to HG =P

Take 852 to Adam Rd or Upp Thomson Rd bus stops which have 165. Alight and wait for 165 at the same bus stop. At hougang ctrl int, take 101.

Take MRT to Woodlands and change 161 is the fastest. Takes about 50 mins - 1 hour only.
Alternatively, take 985 to Police Academy and change to 156. Should take about 1 hour too.
Trust me... Hougang is my specialised area and some more, I've been travelling to and from my camp at CCK (recently posted there) daily, so I'm somewhat familiar with Bt Batok/CCK too. -
