ok i make myself clear. In addition to those plates at bus stops, SBST added another plate of the diverted services. This means that the original plates were never touched. Hence, there's a dedicated plate to the diverted routes while the original plates are for the original services that ply there.Originally posted by tranquilice:So who is correct? That's why i call them stand-alone plates because they dont mix with the original services that ply there. -

The central divider along Nicoll Highway, with the junction of Republic Avenue, has been cut. Upgrading work is ongoing at this junction, for to-be-confirmed opening of the section of Nicoll Highway between Middle Road and Republic Avenue. Once re-open confirmed, east bound motorists can use Nicoll Highway between Stamford Road and Republic Avenue, and then divert onto Republic Avenue and continue to Crawford Street via Crawford vehicular underpass.

I went to Beach Rd yesterday afternoon. The original plates there are left untouched, while new plates with diverted services are added.

A section of the barricade on the central divider along Nicoll Highway at this junction has been cut off, and the kerbs removed. This was done so that motorists can turn right into Republic Ave from Nicoll Highway (Kallang bound). Kerbs were also removed along a section of Republic Ave near the junction.
I guess the purpose is to re-open the section of Nicoll Highway between Middle Rd and Republic Ave (or maybe Java Rd), and the entire section of Republic Ave. If this becomes a reality, motorists from the city going towards Kallang can then use Nicoll Highway, turn right into Republic Ave, via Crawford vehicular underpass and continues to Crawford St. -

Basically, that guy's mad and the entry's crap, that's all. Never come across my good friend's father mentioning anything about buses or cars, for he's a real LTA engineer also involved in the Circle Line, though not Nicoll Highway station. -
