Friends of SMRT

Recently, I enquired about friends of Tibs. They said it has been rebrandeded to friends of SMRT. They say are not accepting applications now. When can apply, they will inform...Any idea when they wil open the application???
IMO, I think they will open application when tibs change name -

as a friend of an organisation, it usually entails making monetary contributions to the organisation, if not on a regular basis, at least upfront.

Ermm, I beg to differ. I was once a Friend of SBS Transit and I don't remember having to make any monetary contributions. And I don't think that being a member of such club(s) would mean that you have to make any monetary contributions. Personally, I seldom give suggestions but rather feedbacks on service captains and service frequencies. I suggested to Tibs as to whether they could adjust the service frequencies of Service 970, because sometimes it can take very long just to wait for one bus alone, and now the service frequencies' much much better, though traffic jams' still the one contributing to the long waiting time. The suggestion that they didnt take into consideration was the addition of one bus into the service, which they replied that the service had enough buses for the bus fleet. -
