You must be dreaming...bendys are not feasible enuff to be on 307...Maybe you saw a Hibo Volgren. There was a hino on 307 last saturday making guest appearanceOriginally posted by delonchew:I thought I saw a Citaro on 307 just last Saturday when I passed by CCK.
Obviously, I can differentiate between a bendy bus and a 12m bus, right? Maybe it was some other service starting with 3xx.Originally posted by cck_190:You must be dreaming...bendys are not feasible enuff to be on 307...Maybe you saw a Hibo Volgren. There was a hino on 307 last saturday making guest appearance
Sorry if hurt ur feelings...Words in the cyberworld can sound harsh even if they are not meant to be harsh. You must have seen a citaro, TIB9XX. It's EDS is kinda spoiled. Might be 302, but the bottom part of the 2 is unclearOriginally posted by delonchew:Not hurt, don't worry.
CCK Interchange. It was returning to the parking lots.
Bendies cannot go to the airport basement, so no bendies on 858.Originally posted by tranquilice:Do services 858, 926, 965 and 966 have bendys currently?

Actually can, but very difficult to navigate Terminal 1. 858 did have Bendies as a trial for a very short while.Originally posted by SBS9845X:Bendies cannot go to the airport basement, so no bendies on 858.
for some reason, in the newspapers i read tat the turning circle (radius) of bendies is smaller (better manuervability). the same applies to the super long bus SBS997A. they didn't explain why tis is so.Originally posted by SBS9845X:I tot terminal two harder to turn? And dint they say that the turning circle of a bendy is smaller then a 12m bus?
Yes, Bendy has a smaller turning circle.Originally posted by SBS9845X:I tot terminal two harder to turn? And dint they say that the turning circle of a bendy is smaller then a 12m bus?
Bendys and SBS997A have a smaller turning radius as the wheelbase is shorter than normal.Originally posted by Yusry:Yes, Bendy has a smaller turning circle.
But the airport basement terminals require 2 turns to enter the bus bay. One is a right turn to enter the "slip" road and then the bus needs a "left" to get to the bay. This one is tough for bendies as the bus is extra long.
Don't forget Sv. 53 and Sv. 858 take turns to pull up at the bus stop. Never once have I seen Sv. 53 and Sv. 858 O405s pull up together. Let SBST scream, they can't do anything about it. It's not a matter of being inconsiderate, it's being practical.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Bendys and SBS997A have a smaller turning radius as the wheelbase is shorter than normal.
The length of the bendy poses a great problem when entering the ramp into the basement as it is in a circular path. This means plenty of blind corners as the driver cannot really judge if he had sufficiently cleared the bend. Another problem is in terminal one, where a sharp left and then right turn is needed to get out if the bus bay onto the ramp up. INexperienced 0405 drivers have been noticed to struggle with this particular turn.
SBST would scream if an 0405G is to be perm on 858. The ter2 basement is crammed like siao already, and given that the bendy occupies around 2 parking lots, it would be very inconsiderate unless the driver does not take a toilet break. Dun forget 858 shares the 'island' with svc 53 at T2.
It seems that you had really been out of touch.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Don't forget Sv. 53 and Sv. 858 take turns to pull up at the bus stop. If the turning circle of the bendy is smaller than 12m, how come 307 don't have bendy? When i ask Tibs, they say bendy not feasible on 307...Originally posted by SBS9845X:I tot terminal two harder to turn? And dint they say that the turning circle of a bendy is smaller then a 12m bus?
You are correct. The bus is indeed longer than any Bendies of TIBS. It is the longest public bus in Singapore (claimed to be Asia's as well) at the length of 19m.Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Unique bendy>SBS 998 Y
I had this kind of weird feelings whenever i board this bus.Probably it is the one out of the two bendies that SBST had and honestly i do feels that this bus are far more longer than any TIBS Bendies.
However the minus point will be the rear side.
Feasible as in " loads", NOT feasible as in "ability". TIBS love to use this ambiguous term in their replies. Even svc 61 got bendies though the sector at Tangin Halt is quite narrow.Originally posted by cck_190:If the turning circle of the bendy is smaller than 12m, how come 307 don't have bendy?
