I saw this notice inside the control office of CCK Int...Couldn't see clearly what they were trying to say, too many drivers there.
Does any of you have any idea what this is about? -

If it has something to do with Nicoll Highway, why there are no posters pasted to inform the passengers?

Most likely 853, 961 and 985 will exit via 980's current exit and make a u-turn along Kallang Road before ERP gantry just like how service 5 used to.
Services 21, 26, 31, 62 and 158 would most likely also be affected and will follow the above arrangement. -

Traffic scheme along Geylang Lorong 1
To facilitate motorists leaving the city during the evening peak period, traffic improvements along Geylang Lorong 1 will also be implemented on 27 April 2004.
The bus lane along Geylang Lorong 1, in the direction of Upper Boon Keng Road, will be removed. This will be converted into a traffic lane in the direction of Mountbatten Road, thereby increasing the road capacity for Geylang Lorong 1 from three lanes to four lanes. The four lanes will comprise two exclusive right-turning lanes and two straight-travelling lanes.
At present, there is one exclusive right-turning lane, one shared right-turning lane, one straight-travelling lane and a bus lane in the direction of Upper Boon Keng Road.
The traffic signals will also be finetuned to provide a green wave for motorists turning right from Kallang Road to Geylang Lorong 1, and straight into Mountbatten Road.

Yup, at least that's what I heard on the news yesterday. This means that services like 31, etc etc, will revert back to its former route, ie to make a U-turn after Geylang Lor 1 Terminal in order to get back to Boon Keng.Originally posted by Yusry:31 and 7 are not affected when turning into Mountbatten Road.

Due to the conversion of Lorong 1 Geylang to one-way traffic with effect from Tuesday, 27 April 2004, five services, namely Services 21, 26, 31, 62 and 158, currently plying Lorong 1 Geylang, will be temporarily diverted to ply along Geylang Road, Kallang Road, U-turn along Kallang Road, Sims Avenue in direction towards Kallang Road until further notice.
During this period of diversion, these five services will be calling at the additional bus stop in front of Kallang Station along Sims Avenue. There will be no change in fares arising from the longer road diversion.
Traffic Inspectors will be deployed at the critical diversion points to assist Bus Captains.

Since they're calling at Sims Ave KAL MRT Bus stop, isnt this the same as last time?
