Come to think of it...it's possible! SMRT, SLRT...then SBRT? Possible, but hopefully not true. Tibs Taxi could also be named as STRT.Singapore Taxi Rapid TransitOriginally posted by BlessingSatan:Hopes it's not BusRapidTransit![]()
The red-white Transcab taxis is one of 3 new taxi companies which started operations recently. Has no links to TIBS or SMRT. Shit, as I predicted. SMRTBus. Obviously a lazy, half-hearted effort.Originally posted by delonchew:The new TIBS logo is out! It will be labelled SMRT Bus Ltd and TIBS Taxi will be SMRT Taxi Ltd.
The colours will be white and red, pretty similar to the former SBS colours. If you refer to the Habit that is on TIBS main page, the colours goes like this - the yellow and orange parts will be painted red in colour while the whitish part will be pure white. TIBS logo will be replaced by the red SMRT logo and SMRT words.
Changes will occur from 10 May 2004. Therefore, tomorrow's the last day to catch the TIBS livery. Remember to snap lots of pictures or it'll be gone in our memories forever!

No idea, was thinking about it just now when I saw the notice. Perhaps some buses first then gradual full implementation.Originally posted by BlessingSatan:BTW,How are they going to re-spray all the buses in such a short time?Progressively,Just like SBS to SBST huh?

Just hope the Elderly don't mistaken the buses with SBSOriginally posted by delonchew:Based on what I can remember from the poster, this is roughly how the new Habit will look like.

Hey, you wanted SBST buses in CCK, now you get buses looking like SBST buses in CCK.Originally posted by cck_190:Why?Why?Why???Must this happen...if the change's gonna be ugly, might as well don't change!...

Actually, it might be possible to respray all the buses in just 1 week. Why?Originally posted by BlessingSatan:BTW,How are they going to re-spray all the buses in such a short time?Progressively,Just like SBS to SBST huh?
Unlikely, as the paint job can only be done late at night when buses are in the depot. And furthermore there are only two spray booths in the depot, thus taking about 1 day to repaint ONE bus alone. This will be quite a long exercise.Originally posted by cck_190:Actually, it might be possible to respray all the buses in just 1 week. Why?
Tibs...or rather SMRTB has a smaller fleet compared to SBST
SMRTB will be having it's buses repainted in just 2 simple colours, so it will definitely take a shorter time.
btw, isn't this incident sort of follow the old saying "History repeats itself?" The buses will look like ex-sbs buses
What if SMRT gave the job/tender to repaint the buses to a bus assembly wkshp?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Unlikely, as the paint job can only be done late at night when buses are in the depot. They have the capability to do the job themselves, so why tender out?Originally posted by cck_190:What if SMRT gave the job/tender to repaint the buses to a bus assembly wkshp?
To make the process faster???Originally posted by SBS9818A:They have the capability to do the job themselves, so why tender out?
