I think the name change will be for Tibs taxis first...as what we can see is that mostly the taxis are affected.
Then, maybe the launch of the new taxi name will be in conjunction with the arrival of 1000 new taxis in late May/June. This is just what I think.
A process like this might also happen on the launch of the new name of Tibs. There might be a chance of the launch of Tibs new name being launched in conjunction with new buses they might be purchasing. Again, this is just a possibility.
What do you guys think about my idea of what's gonna happen? -
The red-white Transcab taxis is one of 3 new taxi companies which started operations recently. Has no links to TIBS or SMRT. The new TIBS logo is out! It will be labelled SMRT Bus Ltd and TIBS Taxi will be SMRT Taxi Ltd.
The colours will be white and red, pretty similar to the former SBS colours. If you refer to the Habit that is on TIBS main page, the colours goes like this - the yellow and orange parts will be painted red in colour while the whitish part will be pure white. TIBS logo will be replaced by the red SMRT logo and SMRT words.
Changes will occur from 10 May 2004. Therefore, tomorrow's the last day to catch the TIBS livery. Remember to snap lots of pictures or it'll be gone in our memories forever!

Wow! My dream came true! When tibs took over CCK, I wanted red and white buses to be in CCK...now, 5 years after the exchange, red and white buses are coming to CCK!

SMRTB will be having it's buses repainted in just 2 simple colours, so it will definitely take a shorter time.
btw, isn't this incident sort of follow the old saying "History repeats itself?" The buses will look like ex-sbs buses -

Unlikely, as the paint job can only be done late at night when buses are in the depot. And furthermore there are only two spray booths in the depot, thus taking about 1 day to repaint ONE bus alone.
