Pardon my ignorance,Are the buses fitted with EZ link readers currently?Originally posted by SBS9816E:With Effect from 10 May 2004, Sv 825 will be using Bus-Plus Vehicles. Somehow, Sv 825 does not have the demand for 12 metre buses, since the load isn't fantastic. It seems that business for Bus-Plus ain't so good, and I suppose that they would have leftovers for Sv 825 to take on. IMHO, PA 639 M n PA 644 Y might be used on normal TIBS Services.
They are all fitted with EZ-link readers....like the SGH shuttle...Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Pardon my ignorance,Are the buses fitted with EZ link readers currently?

Oh, I'm sorry I thought that it stood for "In my hopeless opinion", really sorry.Originally posted by leeJZ:"In my humble opinion"
Actually buses used by Bus Plus are called as mini buses. The models that Bus Plus have are Toyota Coaster and Mitsubishi Rosa. There would be no change in fare structure though, so if u want to have a ride on it, go ahead without worrying the fares after 10 May.Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Hmm,Seems like they do need a midibuses huh?
Hmm.....probably not. They would rather withdraw 921, the loads are rather pathetic as i had observed during peak hours, and the roads are too wide to justify the need for such buses.Originally posted by tranquilice:I wonder whether services 921 and 926 can use these vehicles?![]()
tekong shuttle? it seems tat on busy book-in times like sunday evenings, a few MB O405's had to be deployed to help out. they could relieve the load so O405's can be deployed back on normal revenue service.Originally posted by SBS9816E:IMHO, PA 639 M n PA 644 Y might be used on normal TIBS Services.
Yeah... This is also possible. Oh man... TIBS supplied shuttle services to Tekong and CHC. That is why they can't let out too many buses on weekends.Originally posted by ^tamago^:tekong shuttle? it seems tat on busy book-in times like sunday evenings, a few MB O405's had to be deployed to help out. they could relieve the load so O405's can be deployed back on normal revenue service.
That's true, more-or-less redistribution of fleet. But isn't Sv. 540 a booking-only service?Originally posted by freakybuses:Oh yeah... forgot that the Bus Plus vehicles are to be deployed on 825 as svc 540 is to be withdrawn on 10 May 2004. 540 ply between Eng Kong Pk and Shenton Way. btw, I just wish that the bus plus buses are to be painted with Tibs livery just like the old 825 midi buses.
dunno leh.... but then mighty minds bus guide got route details... and the bus fare so expensive... $2 to $4++...Originally posted by SBS9818A:That's true, more-or-less redistribution of fleet. But isn't Sv. 540 a booking-only service?
Not sure. I heard it's a booking-only service.Originally posted by freakybuses:dunno leh.... but then mighty minds bus guide got route details... and the bus fare so expensive... $2 to $4++...
perhaps its a booking svc that stops at only selected stops along the route?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Not sure. I heard it's a booking-only service.
Like I said, I'm not sure. Presume TIBS haven't received calls for a long time so chop lo.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:perhaps its a booking svc that stops at only selected stops along the route?
And where exactly is Eng Kong Pk? I'm too lazy to check my street directory.Originally posted by gynobcard:its a normal cum booking svc. for regular passengers that take the bus every day, they can pay a premium for a monthly pass that confirms a seat for them. otherwise you can board it ad-hoc anywhere along the route. fares are $5.50 from Eng Kong to Shenton Way (AM); $5 from Shenton Way to Eng Kong (PM). if you board and alight within the CBD, you only pay the intra-CBD fare of $2
