Services that are over/under pampered

1. Service 72
For the service with virtually the best frequency of all SBS trunk services, its fleet is not too good. Although it has a fair number of MK4s and a couple VSOs, most of its fleet is made out of O405s & LO 3x.
2. Service 19
Popular among Tampines residents and packed throughout the route during peak hours and yet they dump all the old and noisy BNDEP scanias on it. They should upgrade it to a normal 18 hr service and put some MK3s or MK4s on it.
3. Service 143
I go to Thomson Rd every week, and demand for Sv 143 esp towards the city is huge. Was at HarbourFront yesterday and the number of people and one of its O405s was near overloading capacity. Really deserves better buses than only LO 3x & O405s.
4. Service 10
A very long route winding through south Singapore, still it gets mostly old LO 3x ADDs plus a couple MK4s. Plus the occassional NAC Scania cameo. I really pity the driver who has to drive so long in a NAC bus.
5. Service 3
A very long winded route, should have some MK4s to replace some members of its Scania majority fleet, is this the longest route for the Scanias besides Sv 157?
6. Service 38
It gets overloaded much more often than Sv 18, still it gets Scanias & MK3s. This maybe can loop at Bedok also, although it goes in circles it still isnt too long for the drivers.

1. Service 291
Need so many ADDs for what? Plus it gets MK4 cameos much more often that its cousin Sv 293.
2. Service 18
It does not need the two bendies, send them to a height restricted servide with high demand...like Sv 238 (well not really), Sv 131, Sv 124...
3. Service 25
Does it even need 9 VSOs? Demand on weekends and at night is not great.
4. Service 81
School bus service, other than school release hours you can see empty VOs & MK4s. -

67-Nowadays, i dunno why for some reason, frequency has been down.
184-Another service which frequency has been down, it is because of a depot transfer for service 184, It had Volgern Bendies and perm habits when it was with Woodlands, but now it has degraded to box bendies from Kranji Depot -
Woodlands Services:
Under- 911: The only Intratown/feeder in Woodlands with 12ms, you can see people squeezed on those O405s, but luckily, it now gets some bendies -

139 also really needs Double Decks, I duno why SBS Transh*t dint want to put those DDs on 139 but it had LO3x and Leyland Atlanteans when it dint go inside Whampoa estate (just go straight down Balestier Rd). The Atlanteans stayed on 139 even after it turned into Whampoa, but the LO3x dint. Nowadays you see people squeezing on those merz

139 - They should at least increase the freq to 8 min per bus instead of 12 min on average.
143 - LOs galore. Demands for this service is high practically throughout the entire route. Should get some new buses
238 - Get some bendies onto this service. Or at least increase the freq during off peak hours.

An intratown getting CAC0405?!? I understand bendies cannot be used on it, but at least give better buses such as Hino/MB0405 Volgren! The bus has to have its frequency to be increased during peak & off peak hours
It was more pampered with SBS(1973), got VO2x

Service 190:
Not bad...Needs a full bendy fleet. Always crowded. Frequency OK, not bad
Service 67 & 188:
Needs more bendys. Frequency must be improved.
Over Pampered
Bt Batok Feeder 945 & 947:
Feeder services that gets Hino Volgrens?!? Why they deserve such great buses?Those HINO should be transffered to 307. Sad to say, frequency very bad. -

Woodlands Feeders are pampered,Just look 0405G Volgrens,Habits,Slight Hispanos(99 model) and sometimes 12 m 0405 Volgren.

Guys... you don't see things at one side, do you? As you can see, bus companies already have constraints in deploying buses to every services, let alone putting good buses on high demand services. Also, do you think bus companies do care about the types of buses deploy on every services? The answer is no. Second thing is, there are no things that are perfect in this world. The perfect, and its complement, ie the imperfect, makes up the whole thing in the real world.

No. Sv. 86 buses are exclusively from HGDEP. Sv. 88 buses are exclusively from AMDEP so I don't see how Sv. 88 buses can be operated on Sv. 86, unless depot transfer takes place, which is all the more unlikely.Originally posted by freakybuses:yeah.... and btw, some 86 cameos come from 88. -
I must say that in my opinion, nothing is over or under pampered. As long as the services gets buses it's pampered already.

demand for 191 is extremely low except during peak hrs when e army guys travel to and fro from portsdown camp to buona vista MRT... e frequency is so bad that many army guys juz walk from the train station. other than that the buses are running almost empty trips. no wonder ARBP bullies it.Originally posted by freakybuses:Lol.... what about svc 191? 856 have high demand on whole day operation.even when bendy bus is deployed,usually the bus is fully seated even off peak hours.maybe should have more buses on 856 and shorter waiting times.

The army guys on 191 are not only from Portsdown Camp. There is still Ayer Rajah Camp further inside. Furthermore, 191 is a NAC service. Service 60, 125, 151 are under-pampered.
Sv 60 is a high demand route(always quite full), yet they deployed many old Mk2 and Mk3. Sv 60 deserves better ones.
Same for Sv 151, it is a route that passes through Chinese High,Ngee Ann Poly, SIM and NUS. They just dumped so many unconditioned Mk 2 on this service. So stuffy for the poor students!Or they dont want to treat the concession-holders too well?
Sv 125, during morning peak, is packed with bulk going to Genting Lane/ Macpherson area. Same , unconditioned mk2 a lotzz. But the rest of the day, not much demand. -
I feel that the current number of buses are able to meet the demands except for a few trips. The problem with Sv. 151 is that double-decks cannot be deployed due to problems at NUS roads. So they have no other alternative but to utilize Mk IIs. However, don't forget Sv. 151 also has quite a number of a/c buses.Originally posted by ula_man:Service 60, 125, 151 are under-pampered.

One more thing to note 151 duplicates 154 for about 75% of 151's route. 154 doesn't go to NUS... Anyway 151 deserves better buses. They seem to have more non-A/C buses than A/C ones.
