Maybe they're Kota Raya 170 having a coffee break there.Originally posted by gynobcard:while i was on board svc 856 to woodlands today, i saw 2 svc 170 buses parked at the heavy vehicle park at Marsiling crescent (after Admiralty West Prison; near Riverside road). anyone knows why in the world are those 2 jokers there??
Coffee break? Or waiting till their shift begins?Originally posted by delonchew:Exactly what I have been wondering when I saw them a month back. Same method of travelling as gynobcard, on 856 which passes back Marsiling Crescent heavy vehicle park.
I thought last time some of these 170 buses park @ Old Wd Int when it was still open?Originally posted by gynobcard:while i was on board svc 856 to woodlands today, i saw 2 svc 170 buses parked at the heavy vehicle park at Marsiling crescent (after Admiralty West Prison; near Riverside road). anyone knows why in the world are those 2 jokers there??
I dont get your point. In service or off service?Originally posted by freakybuses:And btw, most 170s go via Woodlands Ave 3 and enter Woodlands Rd instead of Woodlands Rd down all the way to Upp Bt Timah... why?
i noticed that too. is it becos they wanted to avoid the heavy jam along woodlands road? most lorries going back malaysia used old woodlands road.Originally posted by freakybuses:And btw, most 170s go via Woodlands Ave 3 and enter Woodlands Rd instead of Woodlands Rd down all the way to Upp Bt Timah... why?
The correct route of sv. 170 is via Woodlands Rd and Woodlands Centre Rd. If there is a congestion at Woodlands Rd, they will be diverted via Woodlands Ave 3. Same goes for TIBS sv. 178.Originally posted by freakybuses:And btw, most 170s go via Woodlands Ave 3 and enter Woodlands Rd instead of Woodlands Rd down all the way to Upp Bt Timah... why?
Split-shift drivers, ya?Originally posted by BlessingSatan:They are stand by drivers waiting for their shift. In meantime,They can had their coffee break too.
Mostly ya,They are on stand by after their meal breaks as most of 170 drivers stays at JB,So they won't go back for rest instead they take a break there.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Split-shift drivers, ya?
sorry for the sidetrack, but those malaysian bus drivers have to return the buses to BBDEP after their last trip right? so is there an employee bus that brings them back to JB after they end their shifts (for eg after the night shift)?Originally posted by BlessingSatan:Mostly ya,They are on stand by after their meal breaks as most of 170 drivers stays at JB,So they won't go back for rest instead they take a break there.
Not sure, I don't think the Mk IIIs park at Larkin, do they? The JB employees normally have their own motorbikes.Originally posted by gynobcard:sorry for the sidetrack, but those malaysian bus drivers have to return the buses to BBDEP after their last trip right? so is there an employee bus that brings them back to JB after they end their shifts (for eg after the night shift)?
