SBS got new buses
-
1) the mercedes 0.500.LE with volgren bodywork is here. it still is in transperth bus livery, ex TP1854. last seen at sin ming area. SBS will evaluate the thing for one month. (and soem said the bus will not coem here...)
it is not known if the bus will do revenue service.
the bus status is : demonstrator
2) volvo b10BLE CNG bus SBS2992A
it is ready for action
now at BRAM
we think it will do bus 174
sbs2990 and 2991 not know where they are.
new buses this week...on SBS =P

How come SBS buy second hand buses? I thought Public Bus Company cannot buy 2nd hand buses? Can anyone please clarify to me on this?

Demo buses are not bought, they are "loaned" for short periods of time for trials.

additional info on SBS2992A
we set foot into the bus
the bus is very dusty inside and outside. we set foot into the bus...saw the milage mete reads 533km.means the bus only travelled 533km so far.
no BEXP installed. ask mechanic when bus will be put into service. he say next year
seats in front not the same as 2988 or 2989. is double seating. 2988 and 2989 have single seating only.
front seems diff from 2988 and 2989

i've been to the BRAm with frens of SBSt twice now. thats how i go there. today was no exception =)

P.S I'm also not FOSBST personnell.
FYI: BRAM is the only place you can go in as there's an office inside. All other bus parks are just depots only with an admin office. -

was it shown on Channel 8 News today (6 May)?? Cos there was a bus shown which is a CNG bus.. Environmental Friendly..

Demo buses are not bought, they are "loaned" for short periods of time for trials. If bus operators and relevant authorities are satisfied with the performance it does, then they would purchase them and to be used on the roads. -

I repeatedly persuaded them, and I think they have eliminated the JFoSBST group. FoSBST is now a small, relatively exclusive club.
