Most profitable trunk service of each terminal/interchange

My take -

Tampines
Service 72. Frequency of 2-3 min during weekday evening peak plus high demand 18 hrs a day seven days a week. This afternoon just took a LO 3x with 100% seats filled plus several standees.

Bedok
Service 25. 9 VSOs and excellent frequency. However, demand drops off during weekends.

Changi Airport
Service 36. Earns quite a bit ferrying backpackers to Orchard Rd plus you got the huge crowds from Marine Parade - Orchard Rd...

Toa Payoh
Service 143. Excellent demand throughout. From Orchard to Thomson to HarbourFront, most Sv 143 buses I've seen are filled fairly nicely to quite packed.

Service 56. No doubt. While Sv 53/54 have to do with a full O405 fleet and Sv 55 gets a couple LOs, Sv 56 has about five VSOs. But one thing I do not understand - why it has to terminate at Marina Centre? Even Sv 97 which is much longer loops there.

Service 190. Fastest way from CCK/BPJ to the city. Should have a full bendy fleet!

I think it is very hard to comment on threads like this. Firstly, there is no proper or correct info to make the judgement on which service is profitable. Secondly, since the judgement is based mainly on personal opinion, it is completely biased with no backup of evidence.

wellIMHO ZYX184 is very profitable as it goes thru NUS and also serves the ngee ann poly. freq is 2 mins per bus and...wow it uses citaros (C3500)

i think its very hard to quantify these kind of things. some svcs may have super high demand during certain times of the day; at other times it may be very low. besides, how does one justify profitable? costs incurred include the driver's salary, diesel, maintenance cost, cost of other stuff eg paper for tickets, bus guides,cost of handling and dealing with coins, depreciation costs etc etc. more ppl taking the bus does not equal profitable, take svc 74 for example. many ppl? yes. but many of them are using concession passes, whch are subsidized by other full paying commuters. no offence intended, but i think the word "profitable" is not quite appropriate; maybe "highest demand/passenger loads" may be more suitable.
