I can answer that for you...Originally posted by Yusry:I happened to be at Bedok Int when I noticed a duct on SBS79A. Any idea what this duct is for?
I suspect either it's a new "radiator" or aircon heat exchanger.

Is the cold air still piped into the normal aircon ducts on the sides of the bus or only from the "new aircon unit"?Originally posted by ula_man:I can answer that for you...
This duct is for the aircon system on test in this bus,it has appeared since last year. In the early stages of testing, there are 2 paper sheets saying " Air-Con on Test" in the interior of the bus. Now, the sheets have been removed for a few months.I have only seen SBS79A has this air-con test.
Result of this air-con test ( based on my observation):
- During night-time/rainy days, water droplets gathered on the air-con itself, dripping all the way to the ground. Surrounding seats cant be seated.
- It is quite cooling , extremely freezing at cool weathers... You can see the window panes misty.
- Havent catch this bus lately, dont know what is the latest performance.
How to describe the air-con in the interior? It is just a white flat machine on top, with cold air coming out of the visible "holes".
Ratings: Quite cold, but main problem is having dews on the flat machine at night or cold weathers, causing water to splash all over the rear of the bus.
I believe to be from the new air-con unit. Are there other buses also testing this Carrier air-con?Originally posted by Yusry:Is the cold air still piped into the normal aircon ducts on the sides of the bus or only from the "new aircon unit"?
I wonder if this bus is still as laggy as other OAC Scanias (whereby their engines are driving the aircon compressor).
No, only 79A has this second a/c unit.Originally posted by ula_man:I believe to be from the new air-con unit. Are there other buses also testing this Carrier air-con?

Yep, split shift from service 30. Seems like 9615T appears rather frequently on service 30 nowadays. Spotted it a few times.Originally posted by delonchew:SBS9615T doing 18 early in the morning. Split shift?
I thought SBS9615T is a perm on 168? Or has its perm status on 168 been removed already?Originally posted by Yusry:Yep, split shift from service 30. Seems like 9615T appears rather frequently on service 30 nowadays. Spotted it a few times.
