19 follows the route of 10.
17 follows the route of 2 and then 100.
So I think 19 was withdrawn and then 17 introduced, rather than 19 being extended and renumber 17. -

i have discovered that the service 159 OMO 40 cents route between TPY and AMK is fast and still exists today after 24 years
my 1980 guides puts the lor chuan route same as today 159's route till AMK int there

but 159 was extended to SK some years back...wasted

219 did exist before. It started out as a Bedok Interchange - Chai Chee Road service, I believe. It was later merged with 224 (which was withdrawn) to serve Bedok South estate. I am not sure of the origins of 220 but I think it started out as a Bedok Interchange - Bedok South service. Route mainly unchanged through the years until recently merged with 290 to form 38. -
