Okay, so this means that Northeast Singapore was happy that day while Northwest Singapore was in a sad mood.Originally posted by freakybuses:wah ... new blood!!! I wasn't so interested in buses then. Your above comment is based on typicality, which is not the case.Originally posted by cck_190:Okay, so this means that Northeast Singapore was happy that day while Northwest Singapore was in a sad mood.
btw, how did it go?
ANYBODY ELSE WENT TO THE GIVING UP OF 190 CEREMONY?
So, did you go or not?Originally posted by SBS9818A:I wasn't so interested in buses then. Your above comment is based on typicality, which is not the case.

some people who would surely go: MPs + Tibs Staffs...Originally posted by cck_190:Okay, I'll take that as a no![]()
It happened on a Monday, that's all I know. For me, at that time, I was living in Woodlands but schooling in Bt Panjang. But at that time, my school was housed temporarily in Teck Whye. So, on 26 July 1999, as I was reaching school in the morning, I was in my father's car. When we passed by lot 1 mall that day, I noticed that it was a bit chaotic near the interchange. I saw some bendy buses there...I suspected nothing. So, I reached school.Originally posted by freakybuses:some people who would surely go: MPs + Tibs Staffs...
btw, it happened 5 years ago. Most of the members here were still in Secondary sch then.... eg. Yusry, Suhirman and also in primary sch were Daryl and me and you too... so maybe very few people go as it happened when exams were round the corner.

Then, after school, in my School Bus, I noticed there was a Yellow colour plate at the bus stop my bus stopped at. I saw 190's number there. I reacted normally, I did not even notice anything amiss until the next Saturday, when I boarded 190 on a bendy.
Pleas, some of you who went to CCK to witness the event, tell me the experience...I'm begging here
There was...only a minority duriong the first few days. I remembered perfectly that I saw a bendy around 26/28-7-1999Originally posted by xin1jun2:>>>??
AFAI knew service 190 on TIBS first few days did not even have bendies....but that is from my couz's tix i collected during that time....

Actually, frankly speaking, I've never seen a handover ceremony before...Nonono, I've seen the Bt Panjang Handover, but I forget.Originally posted by service_238:ok no social studies here thank you
If i remember correctly, the day that TIBS took over 190 and the day where 864 865 866 were SBS isnt on the same day. There was a buffing period of a week or 2 i guess. I'm not sure which event happened first.
cck_190: It's a typical handover ceremony like all the rest. So there's nothing grand about it. Picture kaypoh singaporeans and people trying out 'new' buses in their estate while some others just loitered at the int to look see.... Get the idea?
btw, why SBS handed BP and Jln Kayu over to Tibs and what they get in return?Originally posted by cck_190:Actually, frankly speaking, I've never seen a handover ceremony before...Nonono, I've seen the Bt Panjang Handover, but I forget.
btw, should Choa Chu Kang be considered as the most luckiest estate...They get to experience the MRT, Bendy & DDs, first LRT...?
Sv. 67 and Sv. 175 were one of the last to be handed over, am I correct?Originally posted by service_238:ok no social studies here thank you

Jln Kayu, Bt Panjang, CCK and Bt Batok were given up by SBS to TIBS when SBS won the NEL tender.Originally posted by freakybuses:btw, why SBS handed BP and Jln Kayu over to Tibs and what they get in return?
