  I've been thinking about it for quite a while but always forgot to start the topic.
  
  As we all know, there will always be an election every 5 years. So, during election time, resdents will also be asked to vote for which bus company they want to control that town...
  
  Is it a good idea?

  No I don't think its a good idea at all. Considering the mindset of Singaporeans, transport companies and politics just don't go hand in hand.

  and also they will not bother which bus company will serve better as long as there's bus at their doorstep.

  It's no point as transport issues and politics don't go hand in hand. Imagine bus companies changing every five years and the hell it'd cause. However MPs do use improvement of bus services in their constituency as a vote-puller.
