Aiyoh how could I not forget about mentioning my dearest Mk4 DM3500?!?!
Speed = power...
Aircon = also power...
and with the driver =damn power!
I particular love the 28xx ones because they dont seem to have a speed limiter.

Tridents... good acceleration and its quietness... No particular favourites though... Its speed along the TPE is damn smooth and damn comfortable. Although the bus interior is kinda dirty/dusty, however it performs with decreasing acceleration, which make the bus look like its going faster...

VSOs.. not as quiet as the Trident.. Good acceleration but the speed limiter limits it from showing its power. It moves with increasing acceleration which makes the bus look like its going fast from rest.
No particular favourites though... the aircon for every VSO i take is damn good to above average. If only one VSO impresses me with its speed... then its nice

Scanias.... NAC ones are the pros... Makes my hair fly! The CAC cant do it that well because of the aircon that runs with the engine... Overall... not bad...

TIBS or should i say SMRTB.. None impress me very way as all those i took on highways can speed very well.. All of them go at the same speed...

If only the VSOs are fitted with ZF rather than the Voith(Except fot the Demo)Tridents & VSOs driver seats are the best among others SBST buses
,Overall like the buses.Almost perfect!
Scania CRB-Love the engine and the CAC ones,Speedy and rugged but maintenance wise,Haish!$$,Same goes for L94.
Like all the B10s especially MK4s and the B10BLE,Great rides!Mark 3s>I nickname the MK3 as the 'teasingbus' as it got a weird sound when braking hardOnly the front panel which i don't quite like.
Longbus & the two Bendies,Unique and i feel that SBST should purchase the longbus a few rather than the two bendies.Minus point for the Longbus & bendy is the rearside.
MB 0405>The ex-PA which i love the most,Although it is the same as others,But kinda feeling that you're on charted bus Overall,It is rugged and easy to drive buses!
Volvo Olympian>Batch 1 so-so,Batch 2 & 3 are my favorites,Damm good air-con and comfy rides especially on the upper deck!
Leyland Olympian>Don't like the exterior though,But the air-con and the engine sound impress me the most,Quite reliable buses though.
Volvo Olympian 2x>Phew,Take a ride on the JIS especially on hot afternoon.Don't quite like it.
Dennis Dart>Should install square headlights rather than round,But quite reliable for a small capacity engine.
SMRT 12m buses>All are best except the windows on the CAC MB0405s & The Scania elbos,Wonder why don't they changed it?Also UMW Lances should consider changed to bigger front destos.
SMRT Bendies>Great,Rocks and speed like hell,Only the rear which i don't really like,Too noisy!Overall good and reliable buses.

Mk4 DM3500s - Excellent buses, good aircon, good speed, good interior pity SBS only bought about 130 of these buses.
Mk4 Striders - Good buses, as the Mk4s all are, but interior worse than the DM3500s. Why do these look so much like the DM3500s when the bodies are made by different companies?
Mk4 DMs - Nothing special, better than Mk3s though. Interior can do with some improvement though.
Mk3s - Underpowered and sluggish, the unrefurbished ones really suck, but there are some exceptions.
Volvo Olympians - Good buses, but I still prefer LOs.
Leyland Olympians - I try to avoid the lower decks, very squashed compared to the spacious VOs, but the LOs are quite quiet on the upper deck and the engine sound is very good.
Super Olympians - Excellent aircon, excellent interior but slow. Its only noisy on lower deck and outside, when on the upper deck its super quiet. Only 50 of them on Singapore roads, wish SBS bought more.
Tridents - Good power, quiet, and good interior, pity only 20 of them on Singapore roads and they're only based at HGDEP.
Scanias - The NAC and CAC buses are quite ok, but I try to avoid the OACs for as much as I can and the Scanias for long rides. Any bus is bearable for a short hop.
SBS O405s - Very noisy and the interior is not good, try to avoid these during long rides.
SMRTbus O405s - Ok bus, very noisy but comfort is ok, good power.
Habits - Nice buses, good seats and interior, has a lot of power like all the SMRTbus buses. -
I love the Tridents. Quietest DDs to grace Singapore roads, but the ultimate is the Scania BR112DH.

That's because the buses you took ain't under AMDEP!!! AMDEP ones are 200% better at least than SLBP ones... and the interior bus plate looks nicer than buses from SLBP!!! But strangely, as the Sv 56 bus was packed, I had to stand next to the driver, and it was very quiet. -
I really loves SMRT Hino HSK & MB Volgren,Modern looks.
The MB Volgren & MB Habit are my most fav bendies! -
8th>Volvo B10M MK4 DM3500
Less occurances of the fanbelt problem that made the Striders extremely noisy. But it remains to be seen when the batch gets older.
23rd>MB 0405 Hispano & CAC
Extremely worthwhile buses with longlasting reliability and power. However design wise the windows could have better sealed to prevent dirt and mould from entering the gaps.
24th>Scania L113CRL Walter Alexander
Offers great power. However it was plaqued initially because the aircon was too warm for good cooling. Nevertheless will be a valued asset for SMRTB.
26th>Dennis Lance UMW DupleMetsec & UK DupleMetsec
I'll take it as adding variety into SMRTB's stable of buses. Relatively powerful and excellent DM's design on the windows. However the aircon duct could be lowered to better cool the bus.
30th>MB 0405G Hispano(box)
The classic series, still running strong. The Konvekta aircon is excellent at cooling while being very quiet at top fan speed.
32nd>MB 0405G Volgren
33rd>MB 0405G Habit-Hispano
Both aircons provided were too noisy. Otherwise both will be perfect buses. For the Volgrens the steering stability and braking are not as good as the Habits, probably due to the lower price.
For Habits I like the multilayered glass windows that reduces fogging, and both plug in and out doors that leaves little gaps for warm air to leak in. However, ZF gearbox problems are affecting certain batches, which is unfortunate since many of them are very new. -

Generally, I don't have any favourites. I do like the Tridents, VSO, MK5 and the Mercs (for the wonderful suspension).
On a hot and sunny day, I try to avoid those without double glazed windows, such as Scania and MB OACs for SBST.
I believe the rest of SBST AC buses have double glazed windows. I think all of the TIBS buses including CACs have double glazed windows though. -
I like the following buses : Dennis Trident, VSO , VO esp 96XX series, Mark 2, Mark 4s ( all of them ) , mercedes CAC and WA mercedes (SBST), Habit bus and Volgren bendy bus.
I will definately avoid the following buses if possible.
Scanias OAC and some CAC(SBST), LO 3 axles, elbo, Lance 245 and 211, nissan diesel and tibs's mercedes O405 buses. -
Your butt will fly when you sit on the OAC MB O405s on a sunny day... so hot.. The old seats are better in a sense that they DO NOT ABSORB much heat... btw, why the need to refurbrish the OAC?
