Saint Michael's Terminal,When it was built,70s?Somehow it badly needs upgrading.
As well as 353 (renumbered 57 when made to operate from Bishan Interchange and looping at Sin Ming, and subsequently renumbered 410 when it became a Bishan town-link-like service and now feeder service).Originally posted by carbikebus:Ok now about Sin Ming,Is there any sv besides 605 in the 80s?

Not the 57 between C'wealth Ave & Changi Airport. Happened in the late 1980s for the renumbering of svcs.Originally posted by xin1jun2:huh?

Opposite? Didn't notice it. I only saw the bus stop pole outside the refuse collection centre.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Hmm....that explains some things, like why there is a bus-stop pole opp the refuse collection centre. I remember last time, the driver would do the 3-point turn first, then release the passengers.
I thought service 410 was introduced after service 57 (Bishan version) was withdrawn?Originally posted by Yusry:As well as 353 (renumbered 57 when made to operate from Bishan Interchange and looping at Sin Ming, and subsequently renumbered 410 when it became a Bishan town-link-like service and now feeder service).
Sv. 57 last operated on a certain day, the next day, Sv. 410 was launched.Originally posted by tranquilice:I thought service 410 was introduced after service 57 (Bishan version) was withdrawn?
That was before they moved it.Originally posted by tranquilice:Opposite? Didn't notice it. I only saw the bus stop pole outside the refuse collection centre.
The original St Michael's Terminal was located at Jln Aman, off Jln Tenteram. It was roughly near the present Multi-Storey Carpark (Blk 19A). Incidently, the road leading to the MSCP was exactly where Jln Aman was. St Michael's Terminal moved to its present site at Whampoa Rd in 1984.Originally posted by carbikebus:Ok now about Sin Ming,Is there any sv besides 605 in the 80s?

Why was the terminal moved? Did the previous terminal also utilize IN/OUT card system for its services?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:The original St Michael's Terminal was located at Jln Aman, off Jln Tenteram. Maybe it was just a temporary terminal and It moved to the new terminal when it was completed. I suppose it did use the IN/OUT system as they had a common bus stop slong Jln Bahagia. Also note that all the buses (ie. sv. 120 - 126) went via Jln Kebun Limau.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Why was the terminal moved? Isn't that road absorbed into the CTE now?Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Maybe it was just a temporary terminal and It moved to the new terminal when it was completed. I said this before.. nvm i say again..Originally posted by cck_190:What is the IN/OUT card system?
You cannot forget Sv. 139 and Sv. 155, both have their destos in different colour schemes for different directions. No in/out card system here, but it's pretty much similar.Originally posted by service_238:I said this before.. nvm i say again..
This system is used for St mikes services as they call along jln bahagia twice - once when going out of St mikes area, and once going towards the terminal.
IN means going INTO St Mikes estate
OUT means going OUT OF st mikes estate (going towards Balestier Rd)
This is to differentiate the diff directions the services are going so that pax will not be confused with it. As they live there for vv long, they've grown accusstomed to the system.
And 136,73,315 & 317 too!Originally posted by SBS9818A:You cannot forget Sv. 139 and Sv. 155, both have their destos in different colour schemes for different directions. No in/out card system here, but it's pretty much similar.
