SMRT bus Service 950 is confirmed!(I think)

A source had given info thet the new SMRTB Johor service is confirmed. SMRT is currently discussing the criterias with the Johor Authorities. The service number is confirmed to be Service 950.
With this happening, I expect SMRT to buy new buses soon! btw, congrats guys, for guessing the number of the bus correctly...
Note:SMRT is still discussing with the JB authorities, there is a small chance that this service will bot be introduced if both parties do not agree with each other's criteria. -

Also a good sign.. I can take TIBS buses of other models. Apparantly my most frequent models are the habits and the HC Merz (OAC and CAC) -

bus deployment does not have to depned on where the service ply entirely.but the loading rather. if i wanna argue ur case why dun 77 get lotsa of habits since it travels the entire stretch of orchard, bras basah and MRC.

Also, Johor services dont always get new buses. Sv 170 been utilizing Mk3s instead of the original Mk4 Striders that SBS wanted. Probably SMRTbus would need quite a few buses, considering SBS has 60 buses dedicated for Sv 170. -

SBS puts its fleet of VSOs on full force on Sv 25, to compete with the Habits of Sv 854 and on Sv 161 & 168 that hit the SMRTbus land. And Sv 39 had a full Mk4 DM3500 fleet when it was first introduced if Im not wrong. You dont seen SMRTBus deploying DAFs on city services...
So route kinda matters when deploying buses... -

Hmm.. I've seen the 170 pattern from late 1980s till now..
B57 --> Mk2 WA --> Mk3 --> Mk4 Strider ?? That might be a possiblity considering that BBDEP is a Strider infested depot.
And as for the bus deployment, its up to the bus companies to deploy what bus on what route. I feel that the HC Merz is the candidate for TIBS950 because
1. It has alot of buses of the same kind
2. It is one of the oldest amongst all the TIBS buses.
Same concept towards SBST170. -

Yes, that's right. I remember someone here quoted from an official publication on the list of roads not passable to vehicles of more than 4 metres in height. Woodlands Checkpoint was one of the roads listed.
