routes of bus services needed(kl)

  Do any of you know the bus routes(+landmarks) of bus services in KL?

  getting a KL map at any of the R&R's (if u take coach to KL) or bookshops. travelling around on just the train transit system is adequate to bring u to most places. i'll do up something later on tis later if i haf some time.

  the trains are quite good . i took star,putra lrt and kl monorail.
  but never take the public buses before(intrakota,metrobus,cityliner,etc.) i do not noe whether their buses are as regular as singapore.

  We have a busfan, Leonard (from Yahoo! Groups) who live in KL. He is my guide whenever I go there. Together, we have managed to sample many KL buses such as Intrakota's IVECO Turbocity, Optare and MAN SL252, CityLiner's MB OH1418 and Metrobus's Hino AK / RK, Nissan Diesel and OH1418. Intrakota also have a few Scania N113 while CityLiner have 3 (now idle) B10Ms; all of which I've never rode on becase they go out of KL.

  IK uses the MAN 18-280. It is not easy to tell them apart from O405.
  
  Oh yes, look out for Triton's Lances. Exactly like the Tekong shuttle ones.

  You got the info from the MAN site, right? I can assure you if you look up under the Hicom site the same bus is labeled as the SL252. I think they're one and the same, except that the 18.280 HOCLR are made in Malaysia while the SL252 in Germany.

  i only know Intrakota Svc 10 plies between Kota Raya/Chinatown/Puduraya/Plaza Rakyat to Subang Jaya & Sunway Pyramid.

  That is Metrobus. IK Route 10 starts from Bandar Baru Selayang and terminates at Pasar Seni. Along the way it passes through Jalan Ipoh and Chow Kit.

  oh yeah correct. got time to provide more route details? i've been there but never took those buses.

  I just came back from KL on Tuesday... Hee... Didn't take the bus though... Walked about most of the time in the city area and only took cab once to and from Chinatown area...
