Service 3. It had to 'turn here turn there' in Tampines and Pasir Ris and wasted so much time on the journey. Shouldn't merge 294 & 357.
Service 38. It also 'turn here turn there' in Simei. Blame SBST for merging 220 & 290. Should have left the 2 poor fellows alone. -
If they reroute Sv 38 it would loose its usefulness. It is the only service in Tampines that serves Bedok South & Simei (Well Sv 9 serves Simei & Sv 12 serves Bedok South but they dont ply Tampines Central).Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Service 3. Same with Sv 3. There are already direct routes through Pasir Ris ie Sv 39 & 81 so no point of Sv 3 duplicating them. Also, Sv 3 serves alot of streets in Pasir Ris that are not served or little served by other services (ie Pasir Ris St 21) and acts like a feeder service for PSR residents. -

In my opinion, service 38 should be re-routed to ply Upp Changi Rd and Bedok Rd instead of Upp Changi Rd East. Under-utilized, yes, but last weekend I saw many people waiting at these bus stops. It's all a matter of timing. FYI, there were 4 exhibitions going on concurrently at Expo last weekend. If these services didn't ply that area people would be complaining at having to walk in the heat. -

I only suggest service 38 to re-route, leave out the other 3 services. -
That stretch of Upp Changi Rd is a private residential area, and with relatively low demand. Upp Changi Rd East needs a link to the nearest, most convenient MRT station, which happens to be Tanah Merah. Expo is too cumbersome, so keeping Sv 38 is the way to go. Simei residents have alternate service 12 (although it doesn't go into the heart of Simei).
