Then Yishun ppl get 4 town services such as 167, 171, 851 and 857. At least a healthy balance of town buses and mrt, hehe.. 
857 route quite well planned, I must say. It passes thru bencoolen, dhoby ghaut, city hall and suntec city. Isn't that great?
Woodlanders only got 2 town services namely 960 and 961. U try taking 961 from Wdlands to town, i can guarantee u will get nausea..
Should introduce one more express service from wdlands to town lah.
Sv 950 and 952... I have a lot of fond memories of those 2 services
Whenever i think back abt those 2 services, it brings me back the nostalgical days at city hall area... hehe.... 
You should look at other towns. Say Tampines, services to town are 10 23 65 67, four, but no one will take 10, 65, or 67 to town. While looking at Pasir Ris, two longwinded routes 12 21 to the city. Boon Lay has only 30 to HarbourFront (quite slow already - 45min) and the worthless 502. -
7/18 combo is still shorter than 14. Among Clementi services, it covers the biggest area.
7/18: 28(7)+9(1
=37 stages each direction
14: 43 stages direction 1, 44 stages direction 2.
Or look at 51: 45 stages direction 1, 44 stages direction 2. -

No, if we dun change the route, the bus will cal New Upp Changi Rd (Chai Chee) aft Bedok Nth St 1. svc 168 cannot extend to Pasir Ris, PSR people already got 39 -> 168 or 88 -> 161 combos to get to Woodlands.
svc 194 & 354 link the tourist attractions to the nearest interchange.
No need DDs on 163. Just increase its lousy freq now (peak hrs you can get 2-3 of svcs like 166 or 167 @ Upp Thomson Rd before you get a svc 163).
Woodlands residents have svc 960 to Bugis and a transfer to svc 190 to get to Chinatown. As for the Thomson area, take svc 966 and transfer.
Cannot shorten svc 852, it is mainly a school bus for Bukit Batok, Yishun and Ang Mo Kio students studying at Bukit Timah. -

55 still cannot compensate for the loss of 197 between Amber Rd and Still Rd South. -
