I think 77 is virtually useless these days. It is practically duplicated by 106 from Holland V until Suntec City.
If 77 goes, 174 can ply Toh Tuck Rd to make up for its loss. Sixth Ave is served by 970.
Some gut feeling tells me that CCL's opening may herald the demise of 77. -

IMO, Suntec has become a dumping ground for ex-NEL svcs. Furthermore, CCL runs from Dhoby Ghaut to Paya Lebar via Suntec, so major changes in that area are not ruled out. -

Maybe need not ask to 81. But 91 can be extended as C'wealth Ave and Alexadra Rd has no buses to Bt Merah. svc 81 will not be touched, I think the rather good loads in Tampines / Pasir Ris makes up for the poor loads in Hougang / Serangoon.
